Ok, so I opened up my case and adjusted a few things, and it is now functioning. My only problem now is that the entire screen is not being used. There is a black outline around the actual screen area so everything isn't being used on the monitor. Any idea with this one?
Hey guys,
I just finished my first pc build, and everything worked perfectly except for one small issue. My HDMI port on my graphics card is not functioning. The monitor doesn't pick anything up when it's plugged in. The DVI port will function, but the HDMI will not. I have tried two different...
Just wanted to say thanks to everybody for their help! Completed the entire order on newegg, and should have everything by the end of this week or beginning of next. If any of the members involved in helping me would like to see pictures of the build, please feel free to send me a pm and I will...
Those are some pretty good reasons, actually. I think I'll go ahead and switch it out for the Corsair. Thanks for that.
Have you ever had issues with promo codes getting removed at the final step of checking out?
I posted in general hardware to get tips on my custom pc build. I ended up coming to a conclusion on what I would like to purchase. I put everything in my cart and went to checkout and on the final step, all of the promo codes were removed.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
P.S. -...
You have a point, but I am looking for an aesthetically appealing case. Plus, it's at a great price. $69.99 AR AP. With that being said, will the graphics card I chose definitely fit in this case?
On a side note: Have you ever had issues with promo codes not working at checkout on Newegg? I've...
This is the case that I'm looking at. The only compatibility check I have done was on pcpartpicker, but that website doesn't have too hot of a reputation around here.
Would I be losing performance with this switch? A previous reply to this thread stated that the AMD R9 280x will be better than a GeForce 760. Do you agree with this? I also noticed you use an MSI yourself. Do you like it? Is there anything in particular you do not like about it?
Thank you! I made the change to that combo.
I'd like to pick your brain, if possible, on a change to this graphics card as opposed to my original choice. What are your thoughts on this?
PSU: Correct me if I'm wrong, but this looks like a fantastic deal - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817151095
Thoughts on this one?
Cases: I would prefer to have a side panel. It's not a requirement, just a preference. I'm honestly not too concerned with noise, I just want to make...
Thanks for your response.
I have no intentions at this time of overclocking, but would like the freedom of being able to in the future if I so choose.
Any recommendations for a better PSU? This is the most difficult component for me to really understand the difference between one or another...
First off, thanks for your response.
I fixed the graphics card link if you wanted to take a look at that.
Is there any indication on how many USB ports would be on the back of the case? Call me simple, but I was unable to find out.
What exactly is the difference between the full version and...
Hey guys,
I am new to building PC's. I have done some research and feel I have created a decent build. Being that I'm new to this, I would love some constructive criticism.
These are the questions from the sticky:
1. PC will be used for gaming.
2. Budget is around $1,500
3. I will be...
That's really my main concern. I'm just not sure if I need to be shopping for a certain type of monitor. I'm not very savvy with the technical requirements for heavy duty gaming.
I am creating a gaming build and i'm stuck on the monitor. I have 0 experience with this type of thing, so I could use some assistance. I'd like something in the 21-25" range and I'd like to spend less than $250. Let me know if that's reasonable or if I need to increase my monitor budget...
I am looking into building a custom PC for gaming purposes, and I am not sure where to start. I've done a bit of research and am looking for suggestions for an in depth and detailed guide for someone who literally knows nothing about building PC's.
Thank you in advance for you help!
