Doesn't change the name in Explorer whether I use Rename from the context menu or in the Properties>General tab and it doesn't change after eject/remount. I used to be able to simply right-click and change the name of drives. That this is carrying over to a Win7 box is troubling.

Warning about X99 and Windows 10

Gigabyte X99-UD5 WIFI with Intel I218-V NIC here in brand new build and installed Win8 Pro, then loaded drivers, then brought down Win10 and haven't had any problem with the NIC. I'm typing from it right this moment, so I'm guessing I'm connected. O_o

Starting at TEN MINUTES, it's pop the corks time. Yes, it's still long. Yes, it's giving Boot Time Critical errors when it's taking 80 seconds, down from 360 and more. I wish there was a boot log where I could see how long individual components are taking to t-shoot what the hangup is.

I'm pretty certain that this is a Windows/USB hiccup. Since it POSTs like a shot and the video is working except during the blackout, I'm not sure what those other factors would be. This isn't a "no POST, no boot, no video" issue. It's a vaguely indeterminate slow boot with odd behavior issue.

Here's what's weird about the BIOS: I'm currently running F13j dated 08/02/2010, but the F13 BIOS listed on the Gigabyte site is dated 2011/01/11. There is no BIOS on the site which matches the displayed date. It doesn't help that the date format is unclear, though the site appears to be YYYY/MM/DD.

@Wall Street - If you'd read the whole thread, you would've seen that there was one setting that was stalling the BIOS phase forever. It now takes only 15-20 to POST and detect drives and then start booting Windows. The problem is that takes over 5 minutes.
