Better yet, how much of the media you are watching is in 4K? 4k seems to be just a way to sell a new generation of more expensive TVs...and aside from a few test videos circulating on the net there's not even any native 4K content available...

Oh wow, I was in almost the exact situation about 2 months ago you are now. I had a 2500K at 4ghz, and a 7850 GPU, gaming at 1080 and was feeling like I needed a little more power. I did have a slightly better PSU though, an EVGA 500W with a single 40A 12V rail. I was waiting on the 960ti/965...

When I first got the mobo, there must have been an error in engineering or QC, as the spacers they used for the HS/fan kept it from properly contacting the CPU. I was getting temps of 105C at boot and constant crashes and stuff. After I corrected the problem myself, I'm seeing far more normal...

I have a small file server (it's offline most of the time) that I built with the ECS NM70-I2. It works pretty good with windows 2k8R2. Just remember to check the heatsink/fan. You may need to remove the spacers assuming they never fixed the problem.

Depends on the type of NAS. If you want to run freeNAS with ZFS, I'd recommend a real server class board with ECC memory. For a simpler NAS, I would agree with your recommendation on the Giada board, especially considering there's been a big price drop down to $129...

My problems were pretty specific to the cooler fitment and thankfully, easy to sort out. Temps would start around 90 and just went up to 105c and stayed there. No variations or fluctuations.
