Most programs offer to create a start menu programs folder. What will this do in Windows 8/8.1 where there is no longer a conventional start menu? Does it create tile(s) in the Metro start menu that are functionally the same as in previous Windows versions? Does it make a folder in some location...

Favorite uninstaller software?

Unless things have changed in Windows 8/8.1 the add/remove programs feature is garbage, leaving stray folders and registry files abound. So, what's your go-to uninstaller for removing things completely and utterly?

Device Manager not showing correct driver version?

Thanks for the reply! I do know how to unzip files, though it's much easier now that Windows comes with a built-in program for unzipping them.

Iris, and the VGA driver here. As far as I can tell, the VGA driver is for Intel HD graphics. So how does Iris relate to it?
