Yeah, I thought the same thing myself but realized between the extra MSRP and places gouging the hell out of them it would be a lot more than thirty bucks. I can always buy a new cooler down the line.

I'm getting fed up with waiting and am thinking of going Nvidia. AMD doesn't seem to be in a rush to help with gougers. It's like they're taking a page from the Nintendo book of business by alienating your target audience for a quick buck then wondering where everyone went when they want to sell...

Does Radeon play nice with Adobe (Photoshop) and Autodesk (3DS Max) now?

I haven't used anything newer than a 6850 with the software, but as an example: If I have hardware acceleration enabled the background flickers, there are weird artifacts. I thought it may have been me at first, but apparently it happens to others. It's not my intention to bash either card...

Before anyone says it: I'm not interested in professional cards because I'd like to game as well. That and they're as expensive as balls. Anyway, I've used ATI/AMD cards for ... at least a decade I suppose. I've recently gotten into 3D development which uses a lot of Adobe/Autodesk products...

R-290X and R-290 Non ref cooling are in stock

I'm tempted to just get a 780 at this point and I haven't purchased an Nvidia card in at least a decade. (Nothing in particular against Nvidia, I'm just cheap). AMD is taking advantage of the windfall, but what happens when gamers decide to jump ship since they won't provide the supply necessary...

Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X Review at KitGuru

I want to be excited, but with [Redacted] like Newegg jacking up the price of the reference cards by $130 I probably won't be able to get one for months. I had just gotten paid the week everyone bought them all out. Profanity is not permitted in the technical forums. -Rvenger

If the card has no out-going signal try just plugging an HDMI/DVI/VGA cable into it (it shouldn't actually have to go to a monitor) and see if it starts to work.

Oh man, I just realize there are probably going to be thousands of GPUs that Newegg is going to have to deal with being returned if the bottom completely falls out. That just makes me feel warm inside.

Well, the bubble just burst so I expect to see a lot of used cards on the market. Newegg rubbed me the wrong way increasing the price so often so I'll definitely buy from another seller once they're available again. It's a drop in the bucket to them, but there are a dozen other places to buy...

Not even a hint of one. I was considering just giving up and going with the GTX 780 since AMD cards always seem to make Photoshop and 3DS Max work wonky for me anyway, but I don't want to buy a new monitor for Gsync. I hope these retailers doing the gouging are bitten in the ass when people try...

Right there. "Started early enough". People are spending a boatload of money to get on a train that left the station 3 days ago. At this point they'd have better luck investing that money into purchasing the coins.

Stupid Bitcoin miners screwed up the price of the card and I can't find any MFG selling it for its retail price of $399. I was waiting until my check got in for this month before I bought it and now I'm screwed until...who knows? Does anyone know anywhere still selling the thing for $399...
