I believe it's a mistake, Circuit City carries the Radeon 8500LE 128 meg and the AIW 7500, but they do not carry the Radeon 8500 AIW, but I'm still going to check it out. In fact, the e-mail from circuit city did not list AIW at all, but the amazon e-mail did...
It confused me too, but I ordered the $125 one and the description on my order said "VIVO". I wanted RADEON for it's good picture on the TV and monitor. Tough choice between this and the geforce2 pro.
I thought this is a hot deal since it's normally around $153. I did a search but didn't find a deal for $125, don't bite my head off... It's at newegg.com, search for Radeon, it's the refurbished one for $125, there's also one for $135 with different bolded words. Get the $125 one.
If you're going to get a knife, get a good one. Go to a sporting goods store and look around. A very good knife costs only about $20 and it'll be useful for a long time. Better steel will make the blade stay sharp longer and make the knife more reliable.
Nice try but...
1. Price is too high, we're used to cd's costing $.20 each AFTER shipping. Even that is kinda pushing it. TDK's were only $.13 each and the Kingstons at MEI were only $.07 after shipping.
2. The quality of these discs are questionable.
3. They are only 650 megs, which is...
You don't even need the catalog code.... I called in without the code and I sat there with the person for a few tense moments. He still gave them to me. :)
Cosco also has some TDK's made in Japan if you look hard enough. I found a few spindles made in Japan, you can easily find them because they have screw tops.
Has anyone found ink cartriges for this printer? Or do you just throw it away after the ink runs out, which I guess you could if it costs only $60 to replace....
I say these CD's are junk. If they are Prime Peripherals with a white top. Data does seem to evaporate off the CD's in a few months. They seem to have a very thin protective layer if at all. You could ruin these CD's by dropping them on the floor (it's happened to me). However they are much...
I use Nero and measure what it says and how long it takes to burn a CD. I have burned at 8x with Samsung Premium Media and Sony brand. With Office Depot 700 I maxed out at 2x, taking almost 40 minutes.
I have to tell everyone that this burner SUCKS! I have it and dearly wish that I spent a bit more to get a good name like Sony or Plextor. This might say 8x but only with the very best media. With Kingston 8x cd's I max out at 4x. Same with Imation 12x's. If you're even considering this drive...
The fans on these coolers are only 17cfm while the thermaltake are 22cfm... The Antec twist doesn't seem like it would be too good for overclocking.
The Taisol t-bird cooler looks pretty good. It's only 11.30 + 7.00 shipping. Unless people want to do another GROUP ORDER? kinda a hassel for the...
:o:frown:
I have this drive right now, I paid $125 after rebate in August. The drive will do a good job if your computer is anything faster than a Pentium 166MMX. This drive will not burn at 8x with 700MB media. It'll slow to 2x no matter what. However, with any 650 media, it burns very well...
