I've had poor results with afterburner and amd cards in the past but trixx works great.
Maxing voltage with trixx should be safe with watercooling.
I use +50mv to get 1100mhz for 24/7 use, but can go over 1250mhz with +200mv.
Your qpi link speed is too high thats why it crashes in games. When you only stress the cpu it wont cause instability.
Its been a long time since i played with the system but qpi too far above 3600 will cause instabillity unless you use something like 1.5v-1.7v for qpi.

I've been using my x5650 for over a year now at 4.2ghz with 1.35v and its still performing great.
I had 2 x5660 for a week but they were both poor overclockers so went back to the x5650. Oh well thats how the silicon lottery works.

I got my X5650 stable at 4.3ghz @ 1.35v but my X5660 will arrive very soon and should oc a little higher xd.
Not sure if i would feel comfortable with volts over 1.4v for 24/7 use...
Finally received mine today and installed it about 30min ago.
I'm also getting the 22 multiplier on all 6 cores.
I needed alot of volt to run 200x22 so i clocked it down abit and will now start running prime95 for a while at 190x22.
Cinebench R15 score of 956.
Havent done any other benchmarks...
Try again with lower blck and see what happens.
When i run the L5639 at or near the max blck my mobo can handle i get less 3d performance.
At 212 blck i get higher 3dmark score then 215 blck.o_O
I went from corsair dominator gt 8-8-8-24-1t @ 1700mhz to g-skill ripjawz 9-11-10-28-2t @ 2125mhz.
I got a higher physics score in 3dmark and gained like 1 fps during the physics tests.
Dont have any saved results from aida64 memory benchmarks from my old dominators for better comparison...

Increase your qpi voltage a bit unless you already have it set to 1.3-1.35v
Dont forget that these westmere chips dont need the uncore set at twice the ram speed.
I7 900 series need uncore 2x ram but westmere, gulftown only need 1,5x

Tried 3dmark but fps was so low i stopped the benchmark lol.
Cant get 215 blck or higher stable with normal qpi no matter what i try. :(
Been using a razer lycosa for at least 5 years now but might get a nice mechanical keyboard in the near future.
The black coating on the wasd keys has completely worn off so they are now just blue lid up keys...

I can get upto 216 blck but thats not stable no matter how much volt i add.
Might be the board limit not...
