Dual Printers

I am helping a friend set up a P4 system running Win 98SE. He has two printers, a deskjet and a laser. Is there a utility that would ask him which printer he wished to use when he clicks on Print????????? Thank you.

At startup Win Me gives the message that explorer caused an error in kernel32.dll I remember seeing some problems with kernell32 in win98. Has anyone come across similar errors with ME?

Checking my friends system; Win 98SE, asus mb fujitsu HD 8Gig used FDisk and found that he actually had a 20 Gig drive. Can we use FDisk to create an extended partition WITHOUT destroying existing data. Thank you (in advance)

Shut Down Screen

Loading a new system. Asus MB CUV4X, ATI 2000 Video, Intel celeron 633, SB live sound, HD Samsung SV2042H, 128 M RAM. At some point after loading much software (I cannot determine when) I lost the shut down splash screen AND the message that it is safe to turn the power off. The two logo files...

Double Buffering

I have an ASUS CUV4X Mb, 128 RAM, Win98SE, and a Samsung HD SV2042H. In MSSYS the double buffering is on (double buffering=1) I thought this drive would have this off (=0). Any ideas would be appreciated.

Shut Down Problem

I am running Win98SE and have fast shut down disabled. When I shut down I get a GPF at MSGSRV32.EXE. I can click my way out and shut down OK. Every thing else is A-OK. Does anyone have any ideas what that GPF is??? Thank you in advance.

HP Printer Error

I also have the HP 850C, originally designed for win 3.x and updated to win95. I am presently running win98se and loaded the ver-9.x of this printer. Nothing but headaches for a printer that ran flawlessly in win95. removed printers and used printer driver supplied with win98se and lo and behold...

Memory Problems?

It was a memory problem. Got in safe mode. Replaced with a spare 32 meg stick and all OK. Now all I have to do is get it replaced. Thank you.
