Question about DVD-Burner for Dell C610

Realistic Requirements for an Athlon System?

I'd use a 300W power supply and then slap an Alpha fan on that puppy. That should keep it cool. Also an extra case fan wouldn't hurt to keep you cards cool. Maybe even a slot fan right next to your video card.

DTC100-Compatible with "H" cards?

Anyone know if the DTC100 High Definition Digital Satellite receiver is compatible with H cards? Hate to spend the money on it and not be able to use it!

Cable or DSL?

Which is a better connection to the net,DSL or cable? I just moved to an area where DSL is available and heard it is considerably better than cable. Only difference that I can see between the 2..judging by what I've heard, is that cable has a fast upload time and dsl has a faster download...

Building 1st system, could use mobo advice

I have an Asus K7V mobo with an 800 athlon chip. Runs ok...not as fast as what I expected. I wasn't very impressed. Also..a lot of extra software that wasn't needed. Heard a lot of good things about Abit boards also. Might want to go with them.

win 98 hangs?

She's right. Need more info. Did you add any new hardware or software lately? That might be the prob. Even running defrag might help. Without any further info..It's almost impossible to comeup with a solution to your problem.

Why do you guys like Win2k better than Win98SE?

If you can get Win2K to run on your system it works great. Supposively the drivers got better for it also..therefor games can run better. But if you are like the 3 out of 5 people such as myself that can't run 2k due to hardware incompatability...stick with 98SE.

Also..if all else fails try taking the cmos battery out for a few hours...that will reset the bios...that mihgt help.
