1 out of 3 USB ports not working... Please Help!

Open up your computer case, and clean the various heatsinks and fans. When cleaning fans, hold them down while you spray the compressed air so they don't spin. If they spin while not powered on this can damage them. Also use compressed air outside.

New Router question: Dual core or faster MHz CPU

If you're just using this at your home network, I don't think you'll notice much difference at all. Very powerful routers are only good in networks with very high traffic, constant routing table lookups, etc...

Oh I see well than I misread the post! OP I'm guessing you are running the Server on a virtualized windows server box? If this is the case you should set it's network mode to "bridge" I believe it is, which gets the local DHCP server to lease out an IP to it just as if it were functioning...
