It's a laptop, don't have another keyboard. :) And really I'm about 99% sure that's not it - if it occasionally stuck, this wouldn't happen every time, and if it was permanently stuck, I'd notice it at other times (esp as I type a lot and use various apps where it would stick out). Tried...

Have been experiencing some minor but annoying issues...anyone else, and if so, what if anything helped? eg: - when I double-click a sub-folder, it opens in a new window, even tho I don't have that option chosen - if I do a search and right-click on a result and select "open in file...

Batman, Dark Knight - Good flick, but not so incredible as most people seem to think IMO. For one, I could've used more plausibility - I'm pretty generous about a lack of that in comic book movies, but even so at times I found it too full of holes and unexplained/poorly explained/not believable...

I don't know about "miracles," but they are legit. At least the ones who work back/neck issues and don't try to pretend like they can work all kinds of magical "cures" for things unrelated to their profession with mystical pills or herbs or silly homeopathic blah blah etc. Happily they are not...

Buying Win 7 CD - can you use more than once - and can it overwrite Win 8?

Fortunately I did manage to fix the problem at the 11th hour so this is moot, but thx for the replies. I did make a "windows recovery disk" (actually it took 5 DVD to make). I am still curious if you can use a retail Win 7 CD to overwite a PC with Win 8 on it though. Anyone know?

Windows 8 is pretty good

Yes. I'm sick to death of MS "fixing" things that aren't broke and that thing is designed for tablets/etc - it sucks big ones for laptops/desktops. I had a laptop at work with this and hated that new UI with a passion - the "tiles" BS may work fine on a tablet, but on a laptop they're...

Buying Win 7 CD - can you use more than once - and can it overwrite Win 8?

Long story short I'm going to try and "fix" my current laptop (with Win 7) by buying Win 7 DVD and re-installing. But if this doesn't work, can I still install it elsewhere or is it a "one and done" deal? And if I can, can I use it to overwrite Win 8 on a new PC if I buy one?
