Hello,
I just built a HTPC for my living room. It has an MSI 785GM-E65 motherboard with the AMD 785G integrated graphics.
For some odd reason, I get a picture on my 46" Sharp HDTV, but one or two inches around the border are black! So even when I set the computer resolution to 1920x1080...

The QNap TS-109 Pro gets 9.5 stars out of 10!
Looks like a good candidate...

I need a new network disk, 1.5 or 2TB.
In addition to the obvious ethernet plug, it should have a USB or ESATA plug.
I would like something that transfers data as fast as possible to my HTPC and main computer. I would like to use it as a general media disk for playing .flac music files...
Hello,
I'm setting up a HTPC based on an AMD Athlon X2 240 and an AMD 785G motherboard.
Would really like some recommendations for a good motherboard that allows undervolting the RAM and the CPU.
I've been looking at Asus M4A785G HTPC.
Would this be a good mobo?
Any RAM...
Mineral oil!
Now that's a messy setup, LOL.
I know it works, but I'm not going to go down that route.
Anyway: I'm changing the PSU to a Silverstone S12 II 380W.
Probably silent enough.
If it's too noisy, I'll replace it with something else.
Case: I'm going for the Lian Li PC-V351...
Thanks for the input.
Your're right about the direction the PSU fan blows, obviously. My mistake.
I guess I could just order a 785G motherboard and maybe drop the graphics card.
The occasional game would be good, but silence is better.
Anyway, I was thinking I'd replace the Nexus...
Hello,
Is it possible to build a very very silent HTPC with decent performance?
I want my HTPC to be inaudible, let's see if that is possible.
So I'm planning to have only two moving parts, the hard drive and the PSU. CPU and GPU will be passively cooled. Everything will be undervolted as...
Hi,
I have been offered a Panasonic 21" monitor, the s110 which I'm considering to buy. But I couldn't find any reviews anywhere. Does anyone out there know anything about exactly how ggod this monitor is?

I actually do have a political science degree. For one thing, you guys have politically appointed judges. Just consider how that screwed up your chances of finding a fair solution to the recent election...
Get the Matrox G400!
2D quality IS important, and the G400 will give you the best - especially if you plan to use higher resolutions.

I have a dual monitor setup for my Digital Video Editing rig:
1 Viewsonic 17": E771
1 Samsung 19": Syncmaster 900SL+ Short-neck
Both are GREAT monitors
Cheers!

Hi!
I am considering to buy a 19" Samtron monitor, Samtron 95p.
Are these monitors any good? I want a GOOD picture at 1280x1024 (or 1280x960).
