Quick question - installing 2.5 drive on 3.5 drive tray for a desktop build

Your drive also has the bottom cover? Any vibration noise? I don't see any problem since any moving parts will touch anything, but how about this kind of drive. Is it ok to screw it on a flat surface? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136278

Quick question - installing 2.5 drive on 3.5 drive tray for a desktop build

Is it ok to put the 2.5" hard drive on a tray for 3.5" which is flat so bottom of 2.5 drive will touch the tray? The screw holes line up with 2.5" drive This drive is a pull from laptop, so there is another layer of metal cover on the bottom of drive.

Seagate drive is clicking when it is active, but passes seatool test.

Well, found the media files in the drive are freezing randomly, the incestant stop and go and keep clicking. Also it failed on Advanced test, full wipe of the drive. By the way I only have two menus on the advanced test, Firmware update and full erase and both are not available or failed...

Good air driven heatsinks

Heard Xigmatek Gaia is as good as CM 212 + at less weight and slimer body to clear ram slots. Also CM GeminII S524 looks good if someone prefer the style.

@ravenseal. Thanks for the pix. What is the mobo? One of GA Z68? And the case is a full atx? Yup 9 inches wide.^^ Looks like you have some room over there heightwise. Is it around a couple of inches there? Looks like it won't fit with any ram w/hs. And can get by with a thin profile fan.

Which HS using 120mm fan is trouble-free with high profile Memories when the first slot is occupied? It looks like Gaia, which is shallow with 50mm depth is quite safe in this regard, but Hyper 212, which is in shallow side but at 80mm seems troublesome, at least for some boards. I'm looking...

Another Maxtor problem.

Can't go on xp home on a hp system. Stopped at asking safe mode or normal mode, then rebooting again. Took out the hd(80 gig w/2 partition one for xp and applications and another for winxp recovery files), and put it on another system. The hd was recognized on by windows but the partition(C)...

What kind of panel does it use? It has very good spec, except it doesn't pivot or swivel. Any experience with it? Few reviews are rating this model better than Dell 2007fpw. 335.00 after rebate and coupon seems pretty good price, if it's that good. Thanks for any help?

something i can use to get rid of my old as5?

WD40 works really well, better than alcohol. But you need to get rid of the oil screen with alcohol. Or spend 6 bucks for the remover and purifier from the same manufacturer. I found it works quite well, and you can use quite many times.

samsung 20"lcd 205bw $230 after PM & MIR

Actually 204BW is a wide screen, but 204B is not. It seems 205BW has better spec than 204BW. 16.2 mil v 16.7 mil 0.285 mm v 0.258 mm 75W max v 55W max etc.
