Hi,
I have the Trident Z RGB RAM, and I was wondering if there was a way to make it so the ram lighting would automatically turn off when I put my computer in sleep mode without having to manually turn it off via the Asus Aura software.
Hello,
I built a computer and I am noticing that when I plug it into an outlet, flip the PSU switch on, and press the power button on my case the following happens:
First, my computer turns on for a split second. Then, it will immediately shut off and automatically turn itself on and be fine...
Hello, I have a Maximus X Hero Z370 motherboard and I was wondering if the Kraken x62 cooler would clear the ram provided that all four DIMMs are populated. I have heard that it is a tight fit, but is there a lot of pressure on the first ram module?
Was wondering if having 2 or 4 sticks of ram is the better choice? I have heard that 2 sticks can overclock better, but I have also heard that they may be slower because of "rank". Four sticks may have better aesthetics though. What do you think I should go with?

Ok, that makes sense why it would be louder. Thanks. I have the NZXT s340 elite case and I have seen some benchmarks on Youtube for both the radiator in the front and on top, and it seemed that the temperatures were lower when it was installed in the front for whatever reason.
The Noctua D15...
Thermalright Le Grande Macho RT was the cooler I was looking at.
I would be alright getting an AIO cooler because I heard that they are better for transport, but I hear that they are loud. That being said, I am not so sure that the noise benchmarks online are all that fair towards them. Don't...
Can I travel by car with a 1060 g air cooler, or will it break my motherboard? Also, would there be any problems with tempered glass during car travel?
I was going to put my computer in the case box with padding and secure it so it won't move around.
I am mostly traveling highway, and the trip...
I don't care for the Meshify C's dark tinted glass, and I'm a bit concerned about the noise from it being mesh, though that probably won't matter much if I go air cooling since it is relatively quiet anyhow. I'm not sure how important 4 USB ports in the front will be for multiplayer. It probably...
Hi. I am in the process of deciding what parts I want for my computer build, but I am struggling with finding an appropriate case and cooler. This case will be transported from college to home every weekend or every other weekend. The trip will take about 50 minutes each way, and I am really not...
I think the problem might be due to UEFI, but I don't really know anything about that. I'll give the 6850 a shot and see how it goes.
Edit:
The last post here:

Okay, I'm able to return it. I'm thinking about getting the Radeon HD 6850 since it is the best of the configurable cards:

Okay, so I got the card and PSU in. I installed the PSU, and it works. After I made sure that the PSU was working correctly, I installed the graphics card. When I booted the computer, it froze at the boot screen.
Edit: I updated my BIOS to version 7.12. Still doesn't work.
That's not my computer; mine is the same model(Or looks the same), but it is not dusty like that.
I ordered the refurbished MSI card and the SeaSonic M12II 620 PSU. I'll post back here regarding how successful this upgrade is when I get them in. Thank you for the help everyone.
I can get a refurbished 670 w/ 90 day warranty for the same price as a 660:

Though I've never bought anything refurbished so I don't know if I...
I found a gtx 670 benchmark with the same cpu and motherboard that I have, so it will probably be compatible. What I'm seeing is that the 700 series has problems, but the 600 series seems fine. I'm over 90% sure I can fit the card in my case. I might go for it. I'll post my results later; it...
Mostly Skyrim, Dark Souls, and Dark Souls 2. AC4 and Watchdogs looks interesting. A quick Google search shows a benchmark for a system similar to mine (same cpu and mobo) with the gtx 660, so I'm more confident that that will be compatible: http://www.3dmark.com/is/1270576

Thanks, nwo!
I think that the 2x4 gb sticks are running in dual channel, and the 1 gb stick is running in single channel. CPU-Z is showing the Channel# as dual, and the DRAM Frequency as 665.1 MHz. When I took the 1 gb stick out CPU-Z still showed the Channel # as dual.
I might look into...
Would the PNY GTX 770 run cooler than the 6670? That might save me the cost of getting a new case. I will have to see what the return policy is if it doesn't work with the mobo.
Thanks for the recommendation, mfenn.
If I get a new case, should I get a micro atx or atx form factor?
If I get a new motherboard, should I get a micro atx or atx form factor?
Will I need to buy a copy of Windows if I change my motherboard?
Will I need to buy new thermal paste for the cpu?
Thanks for helping me.
My PC did shut down once.
Are the connecters right on that PSU, and are the Amps high enough? I'll try to check for myself, but I could use a second opinion. I'm just kind of paranoid since I've never done this before.
I can't afford the 4GB 770, so my other option is to...
Hello! I am new to AnandTech Forums. I want to upgrade my system. I would like to apologize in advance for how long this post is. I just have a lot of questions.
