OK, I admit that I don't exactly know how everything works and what precisely happened at Matrox and nVidia, but I do know that Matrox sued nVidia over this. Haven't heard anything about the outcome yet, but I hope I will hear soon. I am sorry if my last post contained misinformation.

Any1 with a Metrox g400 32 mb DH ?

Great card, will work fine in mosts system configurations. You should avoid using it with certain FIC motherboards that do not properly support AGP, and getting it to work with VIA, Ali and SiS chipsets can be it bit of a hassle... On Intel chipsets it works just fine, but some motherboards...

Soltek: absolutely NOT. If you carefully read the posts about frequency testing, than the only way a 800E can be a 1000EB is when the yields on the Coppermines are so good, that all the chips on a wafer, minus the ones rated for 550MHz - 750MHz would do 1GHz.... don't you think that is a bit...

update: according to this Intel document: http://support.intel.com/design/PentiumIII/qit/update.pdf all the CPUs in the same stepping have the same CPUid, so a CPUID says nothing about its speed. The question now is, how Intel's frequency id util finds the speed the CPU was supposed to run at

Hi, sorry for bringing up this topic again, but I have some questions that members here might be able to answer: The article that was linked in the first post is claiming that because the CPUID of the P3-600E and the P3-800EB are the same, the CPU actually is identical. Now poeple here...

P3 cC0 stepping is l33t liek JeffK!

I bought mine (a P3-700E) 2 weeks ago, and at first I was surprised it had 1.7v core voltage. After looking up the S-spec on the intel site, I found it was the new cC0 stepping... I tried for 7x133=933Mhz, and it worked flawlessly at that frequency since day 1 :) :) :) I think I am especially...
