A guy starts on a train, that explodes... but was it all a dream? tbh i wasn't expecting too much from it, but i thought it was one of the best films i'd seen in a while&kept me watching (i get fidgety quite fast usually) i do recommend this film!
Hey sequoia464! Ah that's cool, it's a bummer you have to switch for finishing up you're work! I never thought of that... keeping the mug of tea warm:P
Hey USER8000! No worries at all, i fully appreciate you suggesting me parts&you're advice! :) I do like gigabyte (have one in this) just...
Hey AtenRa! Yea those were the two main builds of amd/intel i was considering&torn about performance with amd being overclockable&intel being stock (the evo board, after reading was my 1st choice with the 6+2 phases). My case is a mid tower so could fit either of those parts in it. If i did go...
Hey AtenRa  at the minute i'm on an old 1024x1024 flatscreen screen (from 2005) My gpu is a 5750 1gb version. I hopefully would manage to grab 23" 1080p screen for about £130ish (was looking at an aoc, or dell) & say a r9 270/280 or 760 in (hopefully) 6 months or so. Even with a 6300 build...
Hey bononas! I was originally looking at the fx 6 core (with a cooler) that was about £20 off an 8320, so thought that minimum really. The 4570 was £10 off it there abouts, but found comparisons hard to come by (with 83xx not at stock) Would a decent mobo constitue a h87, or the z87 platform...
Ah, thats cool ShintaiDK i just wondered incase it was a typo (i do many:P) It could also be used if you ever upgrade your chip aswell
Absolutely shattered tonight not much sleep and a long day!
Apologies for such huge replies, it took me ages to write:P & wasn't sure if i should...
Hey guys! Whoa, thanks for all the replies!:D
Ah thats cool, Vesku&good to know!, i was briefly checking out th H77 board&they were around the same price as some of the Z77's (around £69- though some 77's were plus that ofc) I think my gpu upgrade would have to wait for a few months(prob try...
Hey guys, yeah sorry the 3470 (just checked) is £138, so about £22 difference to the 3570k.
The build costs for some of these builds would be:
4570/b85 £480 (no cooler), 3570k £497 (no cooler), 4670k £525 (no cooler) And the 8320 £484 (with £30 cooler)
(*3570k is with a £68 gigabyte z77-...
Hey guys, thanks for the replies  Yea, the amd has more pwer usage under load, what surprised me was when idle it was pretty similar (i think?) What concerned me (maybe needlessly?) was if i was at peak gaming with an Oc'ed chip, again though i might be unfounded (& not sure of cost in...
Hey guys, sorry for the slow response - has been really hectic these past couple of days. That's cool Slowspider&thanks for your reply! Yea i was heavily reading into the amd 6300&8320 mainly due to the cores starting to be used more (also with me usually having a few progs open while gaming) I...
Hey Vesku, that's cool. I shall check out the builds/reviews of the Ib&haswell mobo's - reading into the am3+ ones, for the 8core/tdp/thottling (even on some nice looking boards) was a challenge in itself! :D I think i've about 100+ bookmarks on useful/important info with rev numbers/phases/vrms...
Hey guys! From reading for months into an amd/fx build you've all pretty much convinced me to delve into an intel one instead ;)
Spbhm, yea i was mainly focusing on the fx build due to budget&being unlocked, but then after removing the cost of the cooling/more wattage psu& the more expensive...
Hey OCGuy, thanks for the reply! Yea, i was reading heavily into amd for a budget-ish build this year (was originally looking at the fx 6300 - but now that was only £20 dif compared to the 8320) Then started looking into an intel build - but no oc'ing :\ The less wattage was aswell, if i got it...
Hello Anandtech!
For a while i have been reading into buying parts for a build&was asking to see your points, or views  First of all apologies if these questions have been raised before, i kept reading many differing opinions on some comparisons/choices. I was looking at an 8320...
