What am I missing here?
System
AMD K6-300
TX chipset
64 mB ram
Windows 98 (original)
ATA33 Maxtor 6.8 gB
For several years this has been a very stable system. Recently, at startup I got a BSOD stating something to the effect that some drivers were incorrect or missing and, to avoid disk...
A friend's CDrom, that has worked OK for 2 years, now plays audio CD's but won't read, or even acknowledge the existence of, digital CD's.
It's a Creative 52X IDE, with Win98OE (Original Edition) on a AMD300 with TX chipset.
Any suggestions? TIA
As I have it on the other display, have a look at

if you want it windowed, use Alt-Enter to change its
state.

For more understanding of peltier application, have a look at

benchtest.com's cooling forays are the best written & documented of any I've seen. (Only his later efforts include peltier use.)
I continue to prefer Netscape (4.72) due to availability of keyboard controls like Ctrl-] for font size. I also use Ctrl-B/Ctrl-F to search bookmarks. Netscape's "Personal Toolbar" is handy, too.
I've had IE5.5 beta for several months. I use it to save web pages because it does that...
