Dual X vs Vapor X R9 280x?

is there really any huge difference between them? speaking of thermal heat management and fps difference in gaming? which one has better bang for buck?

Monitor setting for R9 290?

Which would give me better gaming experience, a 21.5 inch 1080p IPS monitor or 40 inch 1080p Sony tv? Pixel density matters but I'll be naturally sitting much farther than against monitor when playing on tv. Thanks in advance! I'm currently upgrading from a 18.5 inch 720p monitor.

Current or next gen AMD gpu?

Currently running a 6970. Old but still quite good. Nvidia's GTX 870 might also compete or even beat the 280x in price/performance ratio.

Nvidia or ATI gpu due to the recent gameworks program?

From my perspective, after AMD is done with the mantle beta testing and releases the final SDK, it'll be still able to get adapted by Intel or Nvidia. So the option is there for everyone regardless what kind of source it will be. But as for the gameworks, it's entirely a closed source program...

I've used HD 6970 for 3 years and thought of upgrading to r9 280x tri X edition recently. But after the watch dogs release and also some other Ubisoft games like AC4 also had a great nvidia driver optimization. Not to mention the exclusive physX and AMD's mantle. Alot of future games and mostly...

Concerns about the PSU for my 280x!

I'm shortly buying the recommended PSU stated by sapphire for my 280x, which is 750w. Is coolermaster good enough? I'll be getting the gold certified one. So, is the PSU constantly gonna consume 750w or more than that even if I'm just sitting idle, not gaming at all? There's like an auto voltage...

R9 270x vs HD 7950?

All right thanks for the info guys! Btw if I consider the 270x, should I get the 2 or 4 gb version? I mean, will I actually need the extra vram if I don't tune up the resolution any higher than 1080p?

R9 270x vs HD 7950?

Does the new R9 GPU hold any special technical advantage over the older hd 7950? like, dx version support, mantle etc? these cards are pretty much cost the same price around here so which one should I choose? Will I be losing anything if the buy the older one? I'll be doing 1080p gaming. thanks...

Judging from what? Isn't it just a rebranded HD 7870 OC? From what I hear, the earlier one seems to have better overclocking capabilities.

HD 7870 GHz edition good for hardcore 1080p gaming?

I've got a core i5 3570 and 8gb corsair vengeance ram. Looking forward to playing all the demanding games at a constant 30+ fps (not 60) like bf4, crysis 3, metro last light etc. So what do you think? I might overclock a bit if needed or the r9 270x is a somewhat better choice considering all...

What's all this fuss about next gen games?

Division,watch dogs,the crew,far cry 4 are among the one which made me hooked up into the topic. For EA, any games using frostbite 3 engine is being called as next gen game. Think of bf4, NFS rival maybe? I think we can pretty much level the expectation now. Ubisoft's promising so much on that...

well I'm still apparently used to this resolution so it's not gonna be a hard job for me to cope with it. which GPU would be better anyway if I make obvious future upgrades? and help me with the PSU thing too! :)

I get what you're saying but my pc table has restrictions and I'm kinda fine with it. Might play later on my 40" 1080p tv later but keeping it off the table now. Gonna eventually have room for future upgrades though, you see.
