CPU upgrade?

Eh I guess just a bit more speed. My plan was to hang onto the 930i for another year or so and then sell off the GTX 770, get an 800 series, and do the full upgrade. I generally just keep my PCs going and upgrade here and there on components as I feel the need arises. Right now is a horrible...

CPU upgrade?

Currently have a 930i overclocked to 3.4 ghz (1366 socket type, 2 gens behind). Seems to run games fine but is it a good time to upgrade CPU/mobo? If I can get a year more out of the 930i and something special (like the 800 series for GPUs) is on the horizon I can wait, but if it makes no sense...

Computer turns on, nothing on display, can't turn it off with power button

Question on SSD

Hey guys, Currently have an 80GB Intel SSD (OS installed here) and a 500gb regular hard drive. I want to add another SSD (3 total) strictly to install games on. Is there any reason I should replace the 80GB SSD with the new one or would I just be able to install the new SSD as a 3rd drive and...

Hard Drive Free Space Shrunk After RAM Install?

Thanks Elixer, this is what I was reading on other sites as well. I read some guides but sometimes I like hearing it from users and forums can better explain what's going on. Is this the right thinking? When I launch an app the hard drive transfers the app to RAM which access it much faster...

Hard Drive Free Space Shrunk After RAM Install?

Hello, I just installed 16GB of RAM (up from 6GB) and my hard drive space shrunk by the exact 10GB. Is that normal? I seem to recall it is but just can't remember. Hibernation is powered off and there is no hibersys.fil which I believe would be the only culprits so left scratching my head...

Need opinion on GPU purchase

Eh after giving thought think I'll stick with the GTX 770 and cancel my RMA. I think it provides a solid boost for now (over the GTX 570, think I saw about 50% performance increase) and my CPU will prob. bottleneck in the near future anyway. GTX 770 should last me the next year + and it sounds...

Need opinion on GPU purchase

And appreciate the insight OCGuy. I mean after I sold my GTX I basically only spent $400 to get a GTX 770 (from GTX 570) and 16 GB RAM (from 6 GB) so that's pretty cheap from a temp upgrade. Do you think that would last me over a year while being allowed to game at high/very high settings?

Well, I will be revisiting CPU and such in a year, but if a GTX 780 would last me a couple and run all current games at ultra settings that would be best. I just hear that some games are pushing beyond 3gb and even 1080 Titanfall wont even let you set insane with a 2gb card (which is lame). So...

Currently have a GTX 770 (just bought) and realized it's 2gb instead of 4gb. Noticing some games like Titanfall really need the extra VRAM. I did get an RMA back from Newegg to return for a full refund. Question, what should I do and why: 1) Hang onto the GTX 770 (originally bought for $330)...
