Hi,
I'm looking for a mic, preferably under $100, to use for Twitch streaming and Youtube recording. The mic in my headset is awful. Currently I'm using my webcam mic, which isn't a lot better. The main issue is how quiet the audio output is, even when fully boosted. I have to set XSplit to 10%...
I'm thinking I should be able to get about 4Ghz stable? Nothing massive. I just want a good cooler. Is that the 'cookie cutter' one? Or is there a better choice?
Update: went over my budget, but I think it'll be worth it. I want a system I can use and OC and not have to upgrade for the next 3-4 years (like the one I currently have turned out). I got:
i7 4770k
Gigabyte GTX 770 (2gb)
8gb (2x4) GSkill cas8 DDR1600
Asus Z87 Pro
All in all $940, excluding...
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 4770K with an aftermarket cooler, but on Newegg there are barely a handful of coolers which are 'LGA 1150 compatible'?
I guess it's just poor filtering on Newegg's part, but I was thinking of Cooler Master 212 EVO...
Thanks for the recommendations. Any reason why the ASRock is recommended? Price? It doesn't have that many reviews... I've had a lot of experience with Gigabyte and Asus and like both.
Hi all,
So after overclocking my ~3 year old i3/GTX460 PC, I realized it's not going to work for professional streaming and playing D3 at 1080p at max settings. I need a new system, one that I'll probably have for the next 3-4 years without upgrading again.
I've budgeted $1000 for this 'uber...
Hi,
I'm running into a crossroads on how to upgrade my system to handle streaming properly. I mainly play D3 and the setup I built a few years back works fine for the most part, but I feel it's getting severely outdated. My current specs are:
(all stock speeds)
i3 530 Clarkdale 2.93ghz...
Thanks for the tips, going to look up CPU OC and start there. I haven't used ShadowPlay, but I know it's in beta and I already paid for a year of XSplit Premium. I'm sure at some point ShadowPlay will give it a run for its money (maybe already? Haven't tried it).
So my understanding is that...
You know, I wonder if I should just build a new system. It's a bit disappointing, since what I have works fine, but it is outdated. I got parts of it in 2010 or 2011 I think. My SSD is new (Samsung 840 Evo Pro), but that's about it.
By the way (not promoting, but so you can see quality), you...
I'm streaming 720p at 1000k CBR. And yes quality is bad for the bitrate. I know I need new hardware, but I want to see what I can do with this in the interim until I figure out what to order and how much it'll run. So the questions I have are:
1) What CPU do I need and how much will it run? My...
Hi all,
I'm a bit out of the loop on overclocking the newer processors. Last system I put together is an i3 530 @ 2.93Ghz with stock cooler (32nm Clarkdale). Video card is a Gigabyte dual fan GTX460.
I can run D3 at 1080p when I'm playing just fine on decently high settings, but once I...
