Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I just tried opening the PDF in chrome. While scrolling is smoother than Foxit PDF, but it is much more choppier than Adobe PDF. Moreover, the CPU spikes to 20-30% in chrome during scrolling, whereas it is 10-15% CPU for Foxit, and 4-6% CPU for Adobe. I recently...

Thanks for the heads up! I guess I'll just go ahead with those chinese portable displays that also have hdmi and/or displayport in. Though they equally cost as much as a proper display monitor! I live in a dorm, so I must choose wisely that draws minimum attention!

M.2 to sata expansion possible?

Th Thanks, i guess I'll simply have to go for a DAS enclosure, or replace my hard drives with larger capacity ones. I just wish someone made a pcie x4 to 4x sata controller splitter so that the 1st sata slot would continue to work...

M.2 to sata expansion possible?

I use MSI b250i, which has all 4 native SATA ports occupied currently. I intend to connect more hard drives but I can't. I was wondering, is it possible to connect the m.2 on the back of the board to branch out into say, 4x SATA ports? I couldn't find the exact terminology to search on Google...

I really appreciate your idea, just one question in mind: In the picture the heat sink has been attached over the SSD Label, so does it work effectively even then? I do happen to have spare heatsinks like that from an Accelero Twin Turbo III, shall try to adhere over the Label itself...

I'm afraid I shall not be able to do any modding, as there is no space in the cabinet for either a fan or a seperate PCIe adapter... And yes, the drive is connected to the mobo m.2 slot.

Its been 6 months already, , And only during severe copying file does it rise to 75+ degrees. Maybe its because there is almost minimal airflow in the chassis, as I have crammed a GTX 1060 mini and a Seasonic TFX 350 PSU in there, So the insides couldn't get more jammed up...

Is this 53 degrees @idle Normal for NVMe SSD?

I have a Dell Optiplex 7040 Mini tower, with a 512GB NVMe SSD. The image below shows 53 degrees at idle. http://imgur.com/IpZPEzz Is this temp normal? For reference, my 256GB Adata SU800 in my laptop remains at 33 degrees at idle. Our ambient temp is around 25 degrees.

It would be even better if there was a safe way of putting in a 1070 gtx and using another PSU to power it... I am scared about this idea because dell motherboard has proprietary 8 pin main power connector instead of standard atx 24 pin... So I don't know if adding a powerful GPU will draw 75...

Its actually company funded purchase, but policy instructs strictly branded oems, not assembled ones... So that's a nice way to get new hardware after remaining with q9550 and p45 from 2010 onwards...:) Allowance is inr 35000, which is around 500$...
