Thanks for the link bacillus. I had no idea there were that many shutdown issues. Guess I've been lucky up till now. I think the fast shutdown option must have been eliminated in ME, I can't find it. Can anyone confirm this...just in case I'm having a blon..I mean blind moment!

Julian, I don't see any such option in msconfig. I sorta remember something like what you're talking about but maybe that was in Win98. As for reinstalling, this is a fresh install of ME. Thanks for your efforts anyway.
Just upgraded an old Gateway (P166) case with a CUSL2 & P3 750. Works fine except restart option in windows shutdown gives me "Windows shutdown in progress" then a blank screen, but the power supply is still running. The restart button on the case works so I don't think I have any...

I bought one online the day after TG too. I was gonna email them to try to get a refund. I checked my online account first and would you believe the price was already adjusted in my account! COOL
