    Less than 10% with next to no DX12 in the mix. Yeah, utter annihilation. Given historical trends, I'd never suggest a 1060 over a 480 to anyone. By this time next year, we might be seeing that difference going the other direction.

    Those two card are a tier apart. Maybe a tier and a half, given that the 970 was positioned against the 390X. The 960 and 280 cards are the baseline for performance and efficiency gains for the the RX480. But hey, by all means keep on comparing apples to melons, if that's your thing.

    I have a hard time believing AMD would miss both Computex AND E3 with their Polaris launch only to release it two weeks later. I understand the product is not meant for retail customers and OEMs don't need flashy reveals, but it makes little sense to skip on the publicity.

    Those suggestions (that I've made as well) were based on DDR5X availability, not Nvidia's yields. Since we know Hynix is pushing mass production now, it's no longer a concern. Well, at least not a major one.

    Just like NVidia launching a direct only reference card and skipping partners for who knows how long is a red flag? AMD made it abundantly clear they want Polaris in mobile and OEM markets. You need AIB offerings for neither of those.
