I don't have much of a clue, but fyi if you get a Tivo, you can rent a video CARD from Comcast that goes inside the Tivo ($1-month) instead of their box which is a lot more expensive. The huge minus of the Tivo is that they make it almost impossible to copy content out of the tivo to be played...

Why I can't use attachmeents or create an album w/my pictures?

In the FAQs says both are possible but when I login the bottom left corner says I may not use attachments, and the userPC does not include for me the option to create an album... What are the rules for this? Thank you!

Ripping DVDs to digital form with and without retaining extras

With WinDVD (paid) you can burn the subtitles if that's what you want. I prefer to keep them as a separate file and you can them play them with or w/o them with something like VCL. I just use handbrake.

I don't think is a connection issue, because I played with changing the drive to different USB ports and the behavior is very consistent. That said, I haven't tried changing the cable... I'm not too worried about the data because I'm running alternative backups w/another external drive, so I'm...

Thank you, Dahak; I actually installed WD diagnostic-only tool and I'm running the extended test. W7 wouldn't scan my disk unless I allowed it to fix errors & I was weary it would "fix" my Macrium files that couldn't read. We'll see how that goes. It takes 21 hrs to run (big HDD)...

Easustodo backup screwed up my windows7

I am considering the software & I found little info on it. Still good for you? Ever had to restore? I'm specifically nervous about my Dell laptop having hiden/OEM partitions that I heard can cause trouble w-some image restores... Dell 6510 W7 32bit

OK, it tells me that I'm part of a workgroup called "WORKGROUP". However, it also tells me elsewhere that I'm part of a homegroup. I'll have to learn more about the differences between the three.

As I mentioned, you may want to try resseting the router to factory settings. in my case only one single laptop was unable to connect to the wifi for the longest time. When another device (much later) started having problems, I reset the router to factory settings (with the pin in the back, etc)...

Based on my recent experience, just b/c your laptop's wifi doesn't work it doesn't mean it your laptop's fault: I spent 4 hrs w/IT support last week troubleshooting my laptop's wifi (all other decives at home connected ok) to no avail. Eventually, I restored the router to factory settings...
