We can take the fraps frametimes from different users with different setups, and if they all have lag spikes, then we say the game is garbage.

Another Watch Dogs thread

Everyone said that the game stuttered on High and Ultra textures because of Vram bla bla bla, and that medium textures solved everything. I'm still getting stuttering even with medium textures, it's mostly apparent when driving a car, like every area it's loading there's a 1 second freeze, but...

Why don't any gamemakers ever care about the framerate stability of their games?

Indeed, not a bad idea at all. Why don't we start a game review website that reviews games like all the other ones except that it prioritizes the game's performance and technical issues. I'm serious, is it possible? We could end up on Metacritic.

I've just stopped playing Watch Dogs. Every 2 or 3 seconds while driving a car or running, there's s stutter/split second freeze no matter what settings I'm on, and with an SSD and without. I was just thinking of how beautifully immersive the game would have been if they make all transitions...

Anyone notice games run smoother on Windows mobile than on android?

I don't mean framerate. I've tried 6 games briefly on both android phones: Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC one (M8), the framerate was perfect as they weren't demanding games, but every now and then there was an intermittent stutter during gameplay. It could happen once every 3 seonds, or every 10...

How is Battlefield 4 fun at all?

I mean when you put shooting alone, as in the sole thing you do in a game is run around and shoot things, I can't play that anymore. Anyway, there's no such thing as simplistic or complex shooting, it's all the same, aim and shoot.

How is Battlefield 4 fun at all?

Got it. I'll return the S5 right away and do what I should have done, get the M8. (there's only one version of the M8 right?) Note to self: Never buy any of Samsung's garbage again. And I can't believe this pos was actually more expensive than the M8.

Samsung Galaxy S5 or HTC One (M8)? The S5 looks like it has a faster CPU and longer battery life, but the HTC One (M8) has two front speakers on each side. That single rear speaker of the S5 makes sound come out from one side only in addition to giving lower quality sound.

So how did Company of Heroes 2 end up turning out?

It was better than the original. People tend to dislike it cause they see a low rating on metacritic and think that it's what all the cool kids say. That was just Russian spammers pissed off that the game took the German side instead of the Russian one.

Maybe there was some misunderstanding, this isn't about raw framerate, it's about intermittent stuttering which is worse than low framerate. PCs get it, consoles don't.

The point is you can have the most powerful GPUs on Earth in 4-way Crossfire/SLI and a liquid nitrogen cooled i7 CPU overclocked to 8Ghz and you still will never get the framerate fluidity/consistency of a console.
