Trouble with setting monitor resolution

Rest of the relevant info is as follows: GPU: EVGA GTX 780 SC Connection type: DisplayPort 1.2 Drivers: nVidia WHQL 340.52 (most recent drivers) I tried changing the resolution using the standard Windows Screen Resolution settings and the nVidia Control Panel. Only weird-looking resolutions...

Hey guys, I could use a little help here. I have a Dell UP2414Q, which is a 16:9 UHD monitor, and I've got it hooked up to my PC, but most of the time I want to run it at 2560x1440 instead of the full 3840x2160. Thing is, I can't seem to figure out how to do that. Logic tells me that since it's...

Wanting to upgrade. Yet another help me choose thread.

I'd say that an i5 is plenty since devs seem to overshoot recommended specs anyway, especially with processors. You're usually limited by your GPU before your CPU. But pick up an i7 if you want the overhead from the extra threads for the future. As for the motherboard, think about what you need...

I'd say you're right. In fact, I'd probably put my money on the chip's fault. My experience is with Z87 cuz I didn't get an Intel rig until fairly recently, but my Haswell i5 is running at 4.5 GHz on what I'd consider to be a high low-end board. I'm running on an MSI Z87-G55 if you wanted to...

AMD R7 265 Confusion

I thought the same. Good to see I'm not going crazy. Just another reason I don't buy XFX. How can I expect them to get the board design and cooling right if they can't type in a simple number correctly?
