Since it's DRM-free, you download it once after purchase and that's it. Once Amazon has delivered the files to you electronically, they're your responsibility.
I was about to link the exact same review that jlin101 did. After reading that, I ended up going with a Corsair 650TX. Not terribly impressed by this OCZ unit.
You don't spend much time here, do you? This is typically what happens on these forums, and it's a natural progression. You discuss the hot deal, and once everyone receives their item, they talk about how they like it/what they can do with it/how they can improve it/etc. There's no point in...
Yeah, but in that particular motherboard package, the thermometer wire was included with the "power pack". Nothing on the 9NDA3, even though the box says it's supposed to be included. Shifty shifty.
So, looking on the back of my 9NDA3+ box, I notice the following listed under features (not OPTIONAL features):
Thermo Stick
Flexible thermometer to let you measure any temperature by software. Ideal for monitoring VGA card, chipset or even disk drives temperature.

So my...
So, I that's confirming that on the 166 setting != 166 MHz, but simply 0.83 of the HTT speed. In which case...I'm a bit disappointed that the board doesn't have more settings (i.e. 183, 150, etc.)
Also, this leads me to ask - what's the point of the 200 MHz setting? Heh, isn't that the same...
Very simple question here. I own an Epox 9NDA3+, and I can't find any ratio settings for my RAM bus vs. FSB. There is only a generic setting for "100/133/166/200/Auto" under "Max Memclock". Now, I can't tell if those are flat limitations (166 = 166 MHz), or if they're ratios (166 = FSB*0.83)...
All 3 optical drives are IDE. The drives are all separate - the three of them are on the mobo's PATA channels, the two IDE hard drives are connected to a RAID card running RAID-1.
The vid card cable is split from another device, and while I'll try connecting it directly to the PSU, I'm not sure...
Thanks Bob. That's why I posted in the first place...it doesn't seem like the power supply itself is lacking, but it's just that I can't find any other reason for this to be happening. For the record, the rating on the current PSU are:
3.3V: 30A
5V: 50A
+12V: 25A
-5V: 0.3A
-12V: 0.8A...
I'll try to make this as concise as possible, because I know people kind enough to stop in and read tech support threads don't like wading through a 10-page story of everything that's gone wrong (though I may not be able to avoid it). So, here it is.
Past few months one of my hard drives has...
I've got 3 invites available, PM me for them. I have to warn that I'm giving priority to established members who've been here a while (i.e. registered more than 2 days ago for the sole purpose of leeching an invite), because I'd much rather give back to the community that's given me so much...
wicktron, you're mixing words. I know what Jeff7181 is trying to say, and people keep misinterpreting it. Because people keep saying "50 C is too high!" when they're thinking in terms of "I'm not maximizing my overclock as much as I could", OTHER PEOPLE reading this are interpreting it as "50 C...
Well I called that 877 number for EBGames, guy claimed they were all out of the special edition DVD version and I couldn't place anymore pre-orders, delayed or not. I'll try again later to see if I can get another rep and convince him to let me pre-order. ;) My local store wouldn't take...
Hey, this is certainly hot. I've been unhappy about missing out on all the Fry's LCD deals here on the east coast, and while this isn't a Sony, it's still a nice non-DVI LCD monitor for this price.
I'm still not convinced it's true or that my order will go through, but if it does happen to, I'll laugh at the people who told me not to bother and that no one will get anything.
We'll see how it goes.
Steer? Heh. Anyway, it's all relative. This thing will fit easily in my jacket pocket - more than adequate for listening on the train. Considering that I bought mine for the same price as my previous 64 MB Flash player, and I can hold 11x the music, this was a fantastic upgrade. Having over 11...
No notification here yet. Order still sits at "Shipping estimate: Apr 7, 2004 - Apr 22, 2004". Dun-dun-dun.
And for all those grunting about "you won't get anything!", I don't really care. Placing this order took me all of 30 seconds, and I lose nothing if it doesn't go through. For any...
Why not? ;) Far as I can tell, UT2k4 is backwards compatible and you can join UT2k3 servers as long as you get the proper maps...unless I misread that feature aspect.
The problem with the thread getting this long is that it's too long for newcomers to read through all of it, and I recognize a lot of questions getting asked now that we've covered earlier.
For example, AnkleBreaka: take your file into VirtualDub (assuming it's an AVI) and set the frame rate...
The wonderful thing about reading messages online is that I can't always tell when someone's making a light-hearted joke or just being a plain old asshole. If it's the latter, then simmer down, sparky.
At any rate, keeping this unlocked for a while isn't a bad idea. Thread gets more traffic...
I don't think it's "no biggie" to change it. You're talking about revamping terminology used throughout the entire technical industry. Furthermore, AFAIK, these "oversensitive" people hardly amount to a "sizable portion".
I don't like the attitude that everyone else should have to jump whenever...
I originally felt similarly, but then I saw that the Zelda collector's discs were going for $40-50 on eBay easily (yeah, yeah, I know, "not for resale"). Considering I can play any of those 4 older games on an emulator (I even still have a system with a Voodoo2 card in it for UltraHLE action), I...
I have to echo this. Buy it based on availability, price, and what's included. Figure out what features you want/need, then purchase appropriately. All 3 of them will perform about the same and all of them are just as reliable.
NO! Really?
Did anyone else fall out of their chair laughing after reading this?
These threads are usually useful? Oh, yeah, no one ever gets into a pissing contest. ;)
Going to find benchmarks? Well golly, what an idea! :D  Are you suggesting that might be more accurate than trying to...
It should be on by default, I'd think. Of course, I've got an 8RDA+ and not an NF7, so best to let someone that has that particular model confirm it. Even so, being an nForce2, I suspect it's probably the same.
Dear lord...at this point it's cheaper to simply get a new watch and renew this deal instead of paying for the plan on my existing watch.
BTW, Energizer was indeed the brand that worked.
Another thing about those batteries - despite the notation on the type of hearing aid batteries it uses (675 rings a bell?...or something similar), it won't work with just any brand. Most brands are too narrow to work, and I forget which brand WILL work. It's either Energizer or Duracell...if I...
I wouldn't be so sure - UPS has been upping their prices on smaller shipments. As was mentioned, try USPS next time from them, should come out cheaper I'd think.
What you probably read was the IDE SW drivers shouldn't be loaded. When running the nVidia unified nForce driver installation program, there's a separate prompt asking you if you want to install these "high performance" IDE drivers - decline. The "regular" IDE drivers are what you want.
Sadly it's getting a little late for that, but at least only one person thus far has used the infamous "you fanboys!" routine, stamping his feet and jumping up and down to rile folks up. All else has been pretty much civilized, thankfully.
Who knew Soulkeeper was right? There's arguing over...
I concur with beatle. From what you listed, nothing seems to require a dually setup. A solid single processor system will do you just fine - the most intense thing you've got listed, the gaming, won't really benefit from two CPUs. The scanner and digicam-related photo work aren't anything...
Add the "Kingston" brand chips to that (or is that Kingston's name for Infineon?) to the list of troublesome sticks. I myself haven't tested the Winbond, though, and people seem to like that. Either way, too much of a hit for miss for me. ;) I can say only good things about the Buffalo PC3200...
Well, that depends. If the HyperX can overclock to 200 MHz, you can do that. In my experience, however, nForce2's dual channel is very picky and you might not be able to run that configuration at those speeds. Nothing stopping you from trying, though.
