    Replacement for GTX 460

So I'm building a new rig and since a friend is buying my old one I need to purchase a new video card. I'd prefer to wait until the next generation of cards come out so I want a low budget card that will provide similar or better performance than my old card, an MSI GTX 460 Hawk. My budget is...

    New ITX Gaming Rig

So I was considering purchasing a lower end video card and waiting until the next generation cards are available. Any ideas on what would be a suitable replacement for an MSI GTX 460 Hawk? I was thinking gtx 750 ti, or maybe an r7 260x or 265, I'd like to keep it fairly low budget, under $150...

    Attention Low-End/Midrange Gaming System Builders

He's posting low end builds for other people, so it's better not to factor in microcenter cpu/mobo bundles just in case they don't live near one.

Building a Gaming Desktop Please Help

Please see the sticky at the top of this forum, http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=80121 Do you plan to add a 2nd video card at a later date(SLI) or are you good with one? If only one than you might think about downsizing to a micro atx board to save a little money. Also not really...

    New ITX Gaming Rig

I have purchased the PSU, RAM, Case, and SSD. I'll be headed down to microcenter to get the cpu/motherboard in a week or so. GPU will get ordered a little after that unless I find a good deal at microcenter.

    New ITX Gaming Rig

The PSU just arrived, it is indeed 150mm x 86mm x 140mm. So it shouldn't interfere with the GPU at all. The memory also looks awesome, can't wait to get all the rest so I can start building!!!

    New ITX Gaming Rig

That....is a very valid point. I'm about 95% sure it will fit no problem. I'll do my best to capture that data. I'm interested myself in how much of a difference it will make, especially in such a small case.

    New ITX Gaming Rig

I decided to go with the H90, I'm going to wait for a good deal on it. I figure the stock cooler will be fine until than.

Also it appears that the bracket can be removed so the psu can have a little more clearance. So worst case scenario I remove a bracket and velcro the psu down, not ideal but at least it will work.

Yeah, I was wary of that as well, I'm going to measure it when it comes in just to be sure.

    New ITX Gaming Rig

hmm, on the corsair website they list the drive as 150mm x 86mm x 140mm. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/cx-series-cx600m-modular-atx-power-supply-600-watt-80-plus-bronze-certified-modular-psu I've read around and researched a bit and it seems like this psu has been used successfully in similar...

    New ITX Gaming Rig

I'm not married to the H60, I'm just fascinated with liquid cooling to be honest. If I thought I could fit a 240mm AIO I'd be trying that instead. I'll probably hold off on the AIO until I find a really good deal on one. Ideally I'd like to get an H80i or an H90. Most likely I'll just go with...

I didn't know that about pny, i'll look into the mx100 for sure. Yeah the 8gb RAM was to leave room for an upgrade later, though I might just buy the 16gb now if i find a good deal somewhere before i build.

    New ITX Gaming Rig

Posted a while back, but posting again because it's getting closer to build time and I've updated my list. Here is some info about what I want in a build: 1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing. Gaming 2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is...

    R9 290 PSU required

I have a Corsair cx600m. I feel like I should be able to put the r9 290 in there and still have some wiggle room for over clocking the CPU.

    R9 290 PSU required

Considering getting this video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...D=3938566&SID= The recommended PSU is 750W, I planned to put it in a system with a 4670k, 1 SSD, 16 GB RAM, H100i liquid cooler. It doesn't seem like the card would need that much power, would a 600W PSU be...

    My first pc build

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3Rg3X If you are waiting until the end of june you might have a chance at the new devil's canyon cpus. If so I'd suggest changing from the 4670k to the 4690k, also i didn't see whether or not you needed to buy windows or if you already have a copy to use, so i left...

New PC Build - Looking For Critique

The only reason you would go with the 4 GB model of the video card is if you wanted to SLI them together in the future, that card by itself would not have the power to utilize all 4 GB. Looks like a really nice build so far :)

New PC Build - Looking For Critique

    1. Is everything here compatible? Yes 2. Is the HDMI cable that comes with the monitor going to be sufficient? Yes 3. Is the graphics card that I chose overkill? Can't tell, you linked the monitor twice 4. Does the case that I chose really only include 2 USB ports? There are going to be usb...

    Build now? Or wait?

Depends on your budget, the new Haswell refresh CPUs are coming out soon, and the unlocked version is coming out June/July maybe, nothing officially announced yet. If you wait till the end of the year the new Broadwell CPUs are due to be released. I'm in the same boat, I'm planning on waiting...

    Mini ITX Gaming Build

PC restarts once or twice after power ON

I had an issue where my computer would do the random reboot while booting, while on, just generally weird times. In my case the actual switch on my case was faulty, causing it to get stuck physically halfway between on and off, giving me reboots. I'd suggest looking at your case's power button.

    Mini ITX Gaming Build

I thought about that honestly, I might use the 80 GB drive to upgrade my parents computer, or just keep my old rig intact and sell it, kind of a toss up. I've looked through a lot of SSDs, any opinions on which are the fastest/most reliable? It seems like manufacturers specs are a tad...

    Mini ITX Gaming Build

Looking to replace my outdated PC with a new build. I've been browsing around and I think that a mini ITX build would suit my purposes and make a fun project. I'll try to get all the useful information out there first and than post what I've come up with so far. 1. The PC will be primarily...
