Browser Images: What causes this?

If it happens no matter what site you go to, then in IE go to Tools->Internet Option->Advanced tab and scroll down to Multimedia. Check the box that says "Show pictures" and then click the OK button. If this only happens at that one URL, then these are "broken links" meaning that the page code...

My GW6400 started going into a "Standby" mode at will. Spent all weekend trying to fix it. I did all the things I could think of to narrow it down to a driver, device, setting, PCI slot, memory, etc. It was working fine for about a year. Reinstalled Win2K several times (ACPI and non-ACPI)...

What OS? If it's Windows, you need to create different hardware profiles - LAN and standalone. You'll then make your stand-alone profile a "Network-disabled hardware profile". See "Profiles, hardware" in Windows help.

See if you have virus protection (boot sector protection) enabled in BIOS. It should be disabled for the setup to run.

May be one of several things: Looks like Winpoet runs as a service. It may be dependant on other services and that means that they all have to start first. It may also be a slow DHCP server @ EarthLink. See if you find an answer here.

How to capture audio from a camcorder

If you're running Windows, it has a built-in program "Sound Recorder". You will find it in Accessories. But a 2-hour .wav file is going to be HUGE!! Why not simply use a tape recorder or a VCR tape?
