Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade both my desktop and laptop and am wondering which ones are compatible. My ideal situation would be to upgrade the desktop SSD and pop the old drive into my laptop.
My desktop has a Gigabyte G1 Gaming GA-Z170N Gaming 5 ITX board. According to Device Manager, the...
I have a X34 Predator and to be honest, it's slight curvature is barely noticeable to me if at all. If you really wanted the "feel" of a curved screen where it wraps around your field of vision, I'd go for something with an 1800R curvature or similar.
Wow cool people still play! I cleared an 84 a few weeks back on my WD. Stopped since I kind of hit a wall and fishing GR's got boring. Super excited about the Necromancer.
I had a similar history.

THIS! Cash only. I've done hundreds of deals on Craigslist and decades before from the local Recycler papers that were sold in So Cal. Cash only, in person...preferably in a public area.
I'm about to get delivery of 1060 tomorrow so I'm prepping my computer for the new card. This might be crazy but this is literally the first time I've heard of the anniversary edition. I'm running 10 Pro as an upgrade from Windows 7. I've been allowing Windows to update on it's own. How do I...
The Gigabyte Aero recently came out and was a 14" laptop with 10 hours of battery life with nongaming activities (usual web/mp3/word etc) and was packed with a 970M. I can't wait for the refresh. That machine is going to be a killer.
I guess it just depends on how much the 1070 is going for in your area. In the US, you could score one from Jet with their coupon for $360-$390 or so (granted the Gigabyte model that dropped to $360 after coupon only dipped that low once, usually it's 380-390). In any event, for me personally...
I don't think people are aware of the used market. 680's still sell for over 100 easily and if you have the right model, $150+. Nvidia cards hold their value like no one's business.
I'm struggling with this one too. I have a friend that'll sell me his Zotac 970 for $150 bucks. I've had the Zotac 1060 Mini in my cart a few times in the last few days but with tax, it's around $270. I obviously would rather have the 1060 but I don't know about the % increase in price. I've...
I have an Accelero S1 plus on my 8800GT that I had hoped to use on my 7870. According to the website, I need the additional fan unit in order to use it on my 7870 system and to be honest, it defeats the purpose. The thing already is HUGE. It becomes stupid big with the extra fans.
Cooling wise?
I can't fathom that it wouldn't be. I had one in a mini-ATX case for a brief period and it was only a 1-2 degrees different than my Solo.
Thing is I had a weird issue on my 7870's. The bottom left where the web address would show would sometimes be a black bar.
I've since gone to a 660 for Physx (Borderlands 2...I'm addicted) and I still have the same issue. Just wondering if I could get dialogue on this so I can get to the...
You're right. People just love to parrot on forums. This particular board is just egregious with it.
I've sold half a dozen Reloaded combos and a pair Nvidia combos. They've all vacillated between 45-60 bucks on ebay depending on how quickly I wanted the sale.
Damn, I have that same Powercolor Myst. That one ended up in my brother's box. It was WAY too hot and loud under load...at least mine was but reading people's reviews it seems it's hit or miss. Looking for the Sapphire one at that price :).
Your 4830 lasted you this long. You already know...
"but I find myself doing less and less frequent/extended gaming and usually just picking something up once a week for a few hours".
Guess no one cared to read this portion lol. I'll take the opposite stance, if you're gaming less and less...3-4 hours a week now and see even less in the future...

These things are awesome. If you need extra padding or what not, you just stuff the card inside the bag into a...
