2016 Miata - R&T First Drive

More HP would be nice, but I wouldn't pay $1 more for it nor take a loss of even 1 mpg. I'd take a slower miata if it meant better fuel economy. If I had a miata I wouldn't want to feel like I had to take my other car on a roadtrip to save on gas.

My top 3 picks for Value, Reliability, and fun are, in order: Nissan Versa for a $12,000 new car that will have excellent fuel economy, interior size, etc, but will lack basically any fancy amenities. Honda Fit for extreme reliability and utility. Mazda3 for reliability with some sportiness.

I was taking an average of the 2nd-5th year as the difference as both current and previous year will be hit with the big amount the first year, then when I resell, there will be an additional year. So if I sold in year 3, it would be the difference between year 3 and year 4.

Predicament: shopping for a used car [Update: bought the 2007 Mazda 3 s]

Check hertzcarsales.com. For Dallas (where I live, so just a random example) there are currently 17 cars under $10k. They are Versa/Cruze/Mazda2/Jetta/Spark/Sonic/Focus/Passet. All 2012/2013 years and all under 60k miles.

Why does Intel care less about power-saving on the desktop than mobile?

Then you could just buy a mobile processor SOC and use it. That's basically what you'd get anyway. Look at the J1900 which is kind of a hybrid, mobile tech but in a desktop form factor.

Worth selling car a newish car for something cheaper?

+1 All the cars the OP is considering are poor values. They msrp for higher than most economy cars but get poor mileage, low reliability, and tend to not last as long. They're big, heavy sedans. Sorry if this offends anyone, but...they're american classics from a time when america had didn't...
