I have owned the 7140 for a month and concur as do other tech reviews. The one odd thing about this review is they tout a full sd slot that the 7140 does not have. It has micro sd, yet the review specifically points out a full sd slot and used it as a review plus. I think it was a lazy review...

Core M is available but no Anandtech review? Seems strange.

I have used the 7140 for three weeks and am keeping it. Huge improvement over my 5130 but same great battery life and fanless design. Plays a lot of games smoothly that choked on the 5130 and plays a lot of games with the Dolphin emulator smoothly. Not seeing throttling that would hinder game...

Just got a Core-M Dell (Venue11pro)

The laptop though is not as portable or nowhere near the battery life. Which is the point of these devices. Also a laptop at that price has an inferior display. Not the same comparison.

Not sure what you mean with the 7140, but true to some degree with the fan based versions. So far the 7140 seems like a Superman version of the 5130. Same fanless design and the antithesis of terrible. So far ;)

Just got a Core-M Dell (Venue11pro)

My time was more practical since prefer that over benchmarks. Benchmarks are available for the 7140 though and linked in the Broadwell thread. The 7140 currently only has the 5y10 as an option. I will test FPS with some games later this week. Some Steam games play with a black border around...

Just got a Core-M Dell (Venue11pro)

I got my 7140 128GB on Tuesday. I also still have a 5130 since last year. Quick perspective on the 7140: 1. Only .1" thicker than the 5130 and fanless design. 2. I have tested games like COD 4, MTX vs ATV, Saints Row 3, Crysis 2 and Earth Defense Force. Of those only COD 4 would play at...

Haswell i3-4150 vs FX 8320/e for budget gaming rig?

Considering I am happy with a 27" 1080p desktop display, 1080p on a 11" display is laser sharp ;) I prefer the 1080p since more efficient for power and though joking, I am fine with my 27" desktop display at 1080p. The Yoga 3's battery and performance anchor is the higher res display.

My 7140 should arrive Tuesday and will compare to my 5130. Same keyboard dock works, so will just switch them out. Still seems the Yoga 3 anchor is the high res display. It drags the cpu down due to the balancing of power needed by the GPU and also hits battery life. I prefer 1080p for PC...

I ordered a 7140 from Dell with the 5Y10 so will find out myself and compare to the 5130 with Z3770. They use the same keyboard dock so I am covered there.

That is what I would like to find out :) Is the sustained performance significantly better when playing games (as example) than the Z3770. The Z3770 does not throttle much at all down from peak, but apparently the M5Y10 does. Question is when it does throttle, is the performance still better...

I have a Dell V11 5130 that has the Z3770. Two nice points for the device is the performance is sustained and does not throttle down when gaming, plus battery life is great (especially with keyboard dock). I was hoping the new Dell 7140 with M5Y10 would be even better relative performance...

A bigger concern is the weak wifi people are reporting in forums like Geforce. Wifi issues are rarely fixed since usually antenna related.

Emulators and Flash are key reasons I like Android tablets. I already have a Shield 1, iPad Air 128gb and Note 2014 32gb. A 16gb Shield Tablet seems underwhelming due to small storage for apps. Plus have enough gadgets already...
