Same here. I ordered the last two available in So Cal but was told they were customer returns. A very helpful business sales dude went back and got one that worked but was thrashed cosmetically. The general manager (very nice (and good looking) young lady) offered to sell me any of the ones...
I got my system recently and I too, received the Northwood. I haven't really spent too much time testing it but I did notice the very sophisticated heatpipe cooler. Normally I'm an AMD-centric user; this is my first Intel system since a PII I had years ago. This was such a fantastic deal with...
Some of us (being loyal OMax customers) got $10 off $20 cards just in time to use them on great stuff. There also was a $30 of 150 (web/catalog only) and one for furniture. My advice: have an order delivered or sign up for the OMax rewards program - not as good as Staples but well worth it.
I will have an extra if anyone in CA wants it. I'm going to try to do the Staples pricematch tomorrow and so will have one extra. OMAX also has changed their tune recently - they subbed in the Fuji +Rs for $9.99 out the door! I complemented them hugely (deservedly so) and told them the made a...
I got the Cyberdrive too. Looks like a pretty decent drive for what I paid. This is a YMMV, but try a $20 off $100 Staples card. I went there when it was pretty crowded and handed the card over. I had asked a manager beforehand and he said it was OK.
Well, I didn't see that post about the rebate forms until now and, yes, they are no longer on the Best Buy site. Does anyone have even a screen shot of them? Or a link perhaps? Any help would be appreciated.....
I agree, this drive is much quieter than my TDK 24X and faster. Burned many disks, including some sd2 protecting games with no problems. CD-Clone seems to like it too.
Hi everyone, I bought the Polaroid 32X drive which is the BTC. I think they're going to be next Lite-ons. It's very fast, very quiet, and very CD-Clone compatible. So far I've burnt 9 disks (no problem), backed-up a bunch of SD-2 protected games (no problem) and formatted some CD-RWs. It...
Did BB pricematch and give you cash back? If they gave you credit on your AMEX then, obviously, AMEX would know - especially if it was within a couple of days. Also, were the drives both retail? I think AMEX needs a direct model-to-model match before they'll "protect" you. Good luck anyways!
I've also had this camera at one time. It's OK as long as you don't use the flash. Long serial port downloads can suck the expensive battery quickly so make sure to plug in the external power while downloading pics.
I got in on this deal last time and received the TEAC drive. It had the top-10 sticker. Serial number was 002-1234567 format. I believe the Lite-ons just have one number, no dash. Don't know what the Aopen has.
Apparently all their fleece is on sale! Check out the gloves for a few bucks and ear warmer for less than two bucks. Shipping to CA was pretty steep though. Still got two fleece zip up shirts, two pairs of gloves, ear warmer for less than $30 delivered!
I'm with Kamazon. The 3 peat can be used for even intermediate skiers and those lessons usually only have two or three people. One time mid-week, I basically got a personal lesson with an advanced instructor! Moreover, they'll usually take you on the Blue Ridge express at least once which is...
I got in on this deal at CC. It is no doubt one of the fastest burners I've used. However, it's supposed to be able to backup SD2 protected disks. Has anyone got the TDK burner to do this. So far, I've made 4 coasters trying to back up Pools of Radiance. It's wierd, because I can easily...
I bought this and was unimpressed with the build quality (all plastic) compared to the DLink 704. BUT, it does work great and has the same number of ports as computers I use at home (2) so it was a perfect fit. And the price can't be beat. It also has settings for a DMZ, etc. so it can be...
Just bought the Que drive. It is an ACER with Seamless Link. Pretty crappy drive - the review is up at CDRinfo but it does do perfect SD2 backups which is to only reason to keep this drive IMHO. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!!
The company is Tufshop.com. They don't have the best reseller rating but I ordered on the 4th. No charge yet, but they tell you that it might be 72 hours. Definitely no MWAVE, but what the heck! Note: The $129 price also includes a fan!
Well, I've just signed up and if anyone has any tips or tricks to share, I'd really appreciate 'em. I guess I should've jumped aboard the Netgear 314 deal!;)
I posted this in the forum awhile back but it's back again. This is a pretty decent price for your basic 1 megapixel camera. Great color rendition; not so hot flash. Comes with 2 megs built in and takes compactflash memory.
I've just completed my ordering of 25 photos. What to I have to do to get the GC? I went to the www.amazon.ofoto.com/25/ and it just routed me to the opening page. By the way, this is really an awesome service and very reasonably priced. Definitely an option versus buying the expensive photo...
This monitor is awesome, I have one right now. However, I'm in the process of getting screwed out of a $100 rebate by staples. The rebate says purchased between X and Y, which I did but now Staples is saying I didn't buy it within the guidelines. Any one have any experience with this...
FYI - Costco doesn't pricematch anything over the phone. I tried to match a refrigerator with Wards and no go. Don't know about Sam's Club though. Anybody try Lowe's?
I have to agree. This camera was great for one reason only - to show me how neat and useful digital photography can be. I have the completely opposite problem with my flash; if it's used indoors, the photo is way overexposed. Not too bad for out door shots and indoors w/o flash. I'm ready to...
Buying ahead of the herd sounds great to me, but how does the pricematch work if the rebate says "Purchased between X and Y" and your receipt says Z-X?
Sorry for all the variables, we engineers are wacked!
Prime Peripherals just markets stuff, like Hi-Val does. Last time I bought the CDROM it was an excellent (!) Afreey. I was very impressed with the build quality and it was Clonecd compatible. Definitely a hot deal for $0!
The Iomega 8X4X32 may, at one time, been a Plextor. Now they are not. They are either AOpen or ACER, both way below Plextor in quality and often not completely CDClone compatible. But for $69, they'll certainly do a decent job...
Regarding 5400 vs 7200.. check out the PCWorld (for what their worth) review of large HDs. They found the Maxtor king-of-the-hill for 5400 and 7200. They mentioned that the Maxtor 5400 was faster than many of the 7200 drives. I think this is a pretty warm, maybe not scorching hot (ie Iomega...
Well, I think because everyone has given up chocolate for Lent, Godiva decided to have a sale to provide some temptation -
http://www.godiva.com/cgi-bin/godiva/enterstore.pl/mmm_35_24
There were a few links but they all seemed to go to the same page. This is only a warm deal since Godiva is...
The rebate company will do everything it can to screw you out of your rebate. My $50 one was sent to the wrong name (my name is about as difficult as John Smith) and now they are denying my $15 rebates because I bought two on one receipt! There "unwritten" policy is one rebate per...
VorBota,
Bag the Industry store - those guys suck! Make the drive to the Montclair store whicha ALWAYS has much more stuff and has a much friendlier staff. Went to the Montclair store today and, after a long wait, picked up two PC133. I wouldn't be completely surprized if they had a few more...
I mailed mine in on 01.15 and still haven't heard back. I thought GM was supposed to send you a coupon "within two weeks" about your choice and then send you the GC after that. Anybody have a contact to write or e-mail to?
Looks like I'm in for a leetle rough water here...Compusa says the drive was delivered .. two days ago. No drive has arrived this past week. Any advice?
For everyone who is worried about getting a Sanyo drive: I've had the 12X4X32 and it rocked. I have the 12X10X32 Iomega which absolutely rocks! Both drives are made in a Sanyo factory just like the NEW Iomegas. Sanyo posts updates regularly and they are very easy to update AND the firmware...
