Besides buying a calorimeter, what other ways can I calibrate my monitor?

LG 24mb35d-b is the monitor. And I'm not sure which standard? Mainly the colors look a bit washed out possibly due to brightness and contrast being a little off. The monitor doesn't seem to be on that site :( Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Hello AT forums. So in the past I've used the Joe Kane Digital Video Essentials to calibrate my TVs however. It doesn't seem to be working well with my new pc monitor. I was wondering which ways you guys calibrate your monitors besides getting a dedicated $100+ piece of hardware.

G4560 can handle 4k 60fps?

https://youtu.be/BDG-dQsHymE In this video, the guy claims that the G4560 is almost on par with the 7700k in 4k gaming. Is this actually legit? Are these big gamer catered cpus just a marketing scheme to sell a product which a much cheaper product is just as capable for the job?

Can't login to tapatalk account on web.

I am unable to login to this account, which is linked with tapatalk, on the web interface of this forum. Does tapatalk use specific credentials for the website that is different than the username and password used within the app? Is this a known issue? Thanks in advance

Aren't 2011 motherboards expensive as heck? And looking at some benchmarks on youtube. 1050ti + i3-6100 yield almost the same results as my old xeon 3ggz processor. Does cpu not matter much in games such as witcher 3, rise of the tomb raider, dark souls 3?

What settings impact performance the most?

Thing is my board only supports ddr2 ram which is expensive af nowadays. I'll try to at least get 6gb. It supports max 4x2gb sticks. I'll look into the draw distance and texture detail levels. Or try to make the page size a little larger. Getting ram is my last resort I suppose.

I'm noticing that most of these need a molex power connector and/or usb 3 cable thing that usually goes into a mobo, neither of which the desktop I wish to upgrade actually has. Is my pc completely incompatible? Are there hubs that support the use of sata power connectors?

Replacing the PSU in an old Dell pc

That's for mini tower. I have small form factor. I actually had to use cables from a different psu I had lying around to make a second sata power connector. I only have 2 and both are in use lol. This one is actually easy to take out. 2 screws and slide it off.

Lowest price lga 775 over clocker?

I already have ddr2 ram so I won't be buying much. But the reason is it's a decent cpu, and I'm on a budget. I can't spend upwards of $200 just for a cpu and compatible mobo. I'd much rather spend extra money on getting a better gpu.

1080p display but 760p native?

Someone previously stated that the pixels on these displays stretch to give a 1080p output. Since native resolution is 768p, changing the resolution to higher then that won't really change the quality, or am I incorrect? Sorry for my ignorance on this subject.

I will test that later today as I couldn't get the chance to do so last night. It's a 32inch LG tv. It was upwards of 300 dollars 2 or 3 years ago, so I'm pretty sure it is 1080p.

I'm sorry. Well it was just a regular old dell optiplex 755 small form factor. Just with an upgraded cpu. 2.66 quad core processor. 4gb ram that I'm thinking I will upgrade. 500gb and 320 gb hdds. 1440x900 monitor. And a max 275 watt psu.

Is that 30fps on medium settings? Or low? And thanks for letting me know that wasn't true. I just checked my psu. It says max of 275 watts. In the specs of that gpu it says it needs a psu of max 400 watts. I checked out the 730 and it seems appealing to me. But that says a psu of 300 watts...

As I said I'm not looking to be a heavy "pc master race" gamer. I'll be happy with low resolution ~30fps on say, metal gear solid v or something. I'm not looking to spend over $60 on the gpu as I am also looking to buy a cpu quad core 2.66 ghz. My monitor also isn't 1080p it's 1440x900.
