Zap's ECS NFORCE4-A754 mini review

I'm running my Nforce4-A754 with a A64 3400+ (clawhammer) for the past 5+ months without any problems. Board is extremely stable. My only problem with the board is that the northbridge HSF has just died after 5+ months of usuage. Was wondering if someone makes a replacement? Thanks

There are very few PCIe card out. I'm still looking for a -g wifi PCIe card.

Viewsonic VG180 CCFL replacement

Trying to replace the CCFL on a old Viewsonic VG180. Have taken the LCD apart and can see where the CCFL connect to the CCFL invertor. However I can't removal the CCFL reflector with the CCFL. I thought the CCFL reflector w/CCFL just slide into a channel. Am I missing something. Help...

UPS, which brand to get?

The best UPS to get is Liebert, however their units are even more pricey than APC units. My second choice would be APC.

Need AMD64 Socket 754 mobo with PCIe

I'm running a ECS Nforce4-A754 motherboard with my A64 3400+ (S754) and a Albatron 7800GT PCIe without any problems. The ECS mobo has 3 dimm slots too I'm using a OCZ Powerstream 520ADJ power supply. Are you using a 20 pin or 24 pin power connection?

Worthwhile system upgrade?

Logitech G7

Just switched from the MX1000 to G7. Love everything about the G7 compared to the MX1000 except for the battery life. However the extra battery with the G7 make up for the difference.

HOT: OM Store Closing Clearance ONLY AT CLOSING STORES

they are closing all three stores in the Columbia SC area. Talked with 2 of the 3 stores to confirm closing. One store informed me that they are doing inventory March 4th and then the liquidators are taking over.

x64 Ati driver problem

I'm running WinXP Pro x64 (OEM version) with my 9800Pro without any problems. Using the lastest x64 drivers from ATI website. There are default drivers for the Radeon that ship with WinXP x64. The trial version of WinXP x64 also ran fine with the drivers off the Ati website.

Best flash base MP3 player that is a usb memory key

Just recevied my Creative Muvo TX FM (1GB) Mp3 player. One word, "Excellent". I love its size, 1GB storage, no drivers needed and LCD. I had considered the 1GB Ipod Shuffle but purchased the Muvo instead. I am extremely happy with my purchase. A++

Windows xp and 128 megs of ram

WinXP Pro is too slow when sytem only has 128mb memory. Just reconfigured 2 office machines with 128mb to 640mb. Huge difference in performance
