I'm not sure where the problem lies. And I only realize it while watching tv shows on it but dont have problems on my hdtv when hooked up at same time. It's like when there's a lot of movement there's a horizontal line across the screen not really a certain color Moreso like the picture unaligns...
I had a black screen issue before but it was a 280x and sent it back for refund. Reluctantly went with a 290x same company and I love it and have no problems.
All happened with in past 2 months.
Stumbled upon a xfx double dissipation 290x for 358 shipped. It seemed like a good deal. What do talk think. I was Leary because I just rmaed and get a refund on a 280x because of problems with the card and I'm hoping this card doesn't do the same...
I had a bad experience with amd and a 280x here recently and as much as I'd like to get a 290 or 290x I'm worried I'd have the same issues again with flickering and the card shutting down so I just feel better about getting nvidia
I'm working on an rma with ncix hopefully for a refund I don't even want a 280x anymore. Too many problems. Is my best route to rma thru my retailer since I already bought 9/19.
If it's 15 business days I'm
Covered. Otherwise I think I'm over. It looks like I'm lucky enough to have igfx and I think I can get by with that. I'm ready cut my losses with this card and either go nvidia or try an r9 290 for practically same price
What would it mean if I run a bench program like occt with low settings and the graphics just sits still
On the screen for about 30 seconds but it
Acts like everything is good then my monitor goes black
Well I've encountered another problem. The flickering is gone. But it seems anytime
I put a load on my computer it will make my screen go black and it stays that way. I would guess it had something to do with the bios flash
Update: not sure if it means anything but I used integrated to try fur...
I've noticed my card Idles at 300 MHz but it seems like the problem is from it not speeding up like its supposed to like when I drag my window or something and it speeds up. I wonder if I can manually change that
Hey xfx support. I haven't opened any tickets I thought this might be catalyst related. I'm noticing most of my flickering outside of games but I havnt used it much in game because I've been trying to trouble shoot it. When I get home I'll get the serial number to you.
I've got an i2269vw aoc monitor. I saw something on and notes about aoc monitors flickering and updating firmware which I've updated the drivers to be current
I don't remember seeing a switch. It's an xfx double dissipation. For some reason catalyst was able to install and everything now I'm getting a lot of screen flicker and my benchmarks aren't as good. Would this be related to windows 8.1?
I did something to that effect but I didn't restart. I'll give it a shot tonight. I've never had these issues installing catalyst
But I also did an install on a brand new system with nothing but windows installed. So I don't know that it will work
I've been using it since about 7pm last night. Everything seems to work fine but I feel like I need to get catalyst and some drivers installed for optimum performance but it fails to load some detection software and basically aborts the install. Same thing happens on disk as well as off the...
Just built my computer last night. I don't have specifics right now because I am at work. But I wasn't able to install any drivers from disk or website because of some
Sort of detection software not getting loaded. Also noticed my gfx is branded as a hd 79xx. Is this normal?
wanted to thank yall for your help. Finally got her built last night. Was paniced a little bit when it wouldn't boot. I just had to remove discrete gfx first and once I figured that out it was relatively smooth sailing. I'm thinking of getting another ssd like a 512gb. Would the mx100 be a good...
I'm pretty positive it was Amazon. I ordered it last Friday. They shipped it yesterday. Fortunately it's coming from Texas and I'm in Oklahoma scheduled to be here today. Beat my cpu and psu here which is nothing to complain about. It's been hard waitinf this long
I Havnt fully understood all these different types of monitors and what would be best for what I've got and using. I'm almost done building a 4690k with a xfx r9 280 double dissipation 1080mhz. I'm not trying to spend 800$ on a monitor but I'm also not trying to get away with 100$. I don't know...
I don't personally know of any software but the way I understand contacts and connectors is there is some give where it can be loose. When there is play in a connection you run the risk of wearing down your contacts or possibly losing connection over time.
Starting to get irritated with Amazon. They're the only vendor who hasn't shipped my item yet. Ordered last Friday and it's still preparing for shipment. All it is is my ram. Any reccomendations for ram from another vendor where I could still get the same or better bang for my buck. I've had...
I have a dv7-1769wm or something like that and it too has heating problems. I play it with the top cover off and it still gets hot with a pad under it. I've tried re applying thermal paste and changing the fan out. My only remedy was too power off the computer daily and blow out with compressed...
This post is what made me Leary of going liquid cooked for this very reason of having a leak. Being somewhat of a noob my education on the matter is limited. I'm in the process of doing my first build and paranoid about everything. After reading this I went and make extra sure my case had stand...
While waiting for all my parts to arrive ive be perusing the internets. saw a new gfx card came out for a pretty low price. Is the 970 worth more bang for my buck over the r9 280x i got for 300. Or should i just be happy with what i got and it still maintain value
The computer i currently use is a 4 year old hp laptop. its got a great display but the rest of the computer is falling apart and barely functioning. I just bought a new computer sin the keyboard mouse and monitor which i think i can get away with. My two options are to either use my hdtv as a...
