I understand CPU bottlenecking is an issue for some people, but 200FPS(the FPS cap for BF4) wouldn't make my i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz the bottleneck. Especially, since, like I said, the cards easily hit and never drop below 200FPS on my 1080p monitor, but cap themselves at 170FPS when I set this...

$250 Nvidia GPU for Battlefront?

I agree with everyone here that you'd want a 970, as a 960 at decent settings wouldn't run Battlefront very well. But you'd really have to find a really good deal on one that's used.

Best Video card for $200.00?

Seeing that the R9 380 is just a rebranded 280X, I would just go on Ebay and find a used R9 280X, because it offers the exact same speed, while you'd be able to find it much cheaper on ebay. I'm looking at one for only $170 right now.

2560 x 1440 card

I dunno, 1920x1080 looks pretty blurry on my 2560x1440 screen and it's only 27". I guess it's okay in games, but it's definitely noticeable. If you're wanting to game at that resolution, I wouldn't recommend anything below an R9 390 or a GTX 970.

looking at getting new vid card but

If I had the money to go for a 980 Ti over a 780(non Ti, right?) I'd do it any day, you could probably overclock the thing and get practically double the performance.

HD6950 1GB vs. GT740 1GB?

There are plenty of other "retailers" you can buy from, Like G2A, they constantly have games like MKX for like...~$10, and that's definitely a 2015 AAA title.

Does lower resolution = higher FPS ?

I wouldn't say a 280X is a waste for a 1366x768 monitor. I got GTX 970 SLI while I was still with a 60Hz 1080p monitor. Some might call it overkill, but it leaves a lot of room for upgrade for when you decide you want a new monitor. He'd regret getting something for 720p now and then realizing...

Anyone know any cheap sites to buy GPUs?

I see plenty of cheap GPUs on Ebay and Amazon, if you get them used at least. I got both my GTX 970s for $280, the MSI Gaming 4G Editions practically new.

Yeah, but the problem with that is that 1920x1080 looks very blurry on this 1440p panel. I connected my old 1920x1080 monitor back and was easily hitting the 200FPS cap in Battlefield 4 again. It is like..this monitor is somehow limiting the power of both my GPUs...

Another thing is the fact that this only happens at 2560x1440. If I play my game at anything below that, e.g. 1920x1080, my graphics cards do whatever they want. Change to 2560x1440, instant 112FPS cap.

ULMB is turned off, even so, this is revision 2 of the monitor which allows ULMB to be used at 120

With SLI I got well over 144 on my old monitor that was 1080p when I DSR'd to 1440p to test my frame rates at that resolution, but when I try native 144Hz 1440p on this monitor, every game is 112FPS w/o Vsync and 96FPS w/ Vsync. What is FRTC?

I'm nowhere near even 2GB of VRAM usage playing BF4 at lowest settings at 2560x1440, and I'm only using that as an example because my frame rate does not change whether I play on Ultra or Low, it just stays stuck at 112FPS without VSync and 96 with, and that goes for any game I try.

Allocation Unit Size for 64GB MicroSD card?

Hey guys, so, I have this particular MicroSD card for my Shield Tablet - http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Memory.../dp/B00M55C1I2 And upon formatting it to NTFS, I realized an option called Allocation Unit Size. I see it go from 512 bytes all the way to 64kB. Any idea what I should choose?

i5-3550 BCLK Overclock Results = Stable?

I was going to try and do that, disabling turbo core and simply setting the multiplier to x41, but setting the multiplier above 39 does nothing, it acts as if it's still on 39.
