    If you really want to try Linux distros the best thing I could suggest is get a cheap laptop off eBay and install the Linux flavor of your choice and run native Linux apps in it. Running Windows programs in Linux can be a headache, and kind of defeats the purpose.

    As long as you only have it on one PC at a time you should be OK, even if it is activated. Meaning if you install it on the first, activate it then remove the Windows install from that PC and install on another the key should still work and be legit.

    In PC Settings->Update and Recovery->Preview Builds you can update to 9879, a bunch of changes, not directly visible except for new icons and ability to remove search and task view. If you happen to update to 9860 first then 9879, let me know the size that windows has grown to.
