Question Intel Core i3 8300/8300T power consumption when idle

Let's consider the picoPSU-90 (92%/95% efficiency) with Leicke ULL Power Supply 12 V Universal (84% efficiency) -> their combined efficiency is 0.95 * 0.84 = 0.798 at best. Am I wrong or this is indeed the reality? Here is about a system which most of the time will be idle. As an example an...

Question Intel Core i3 8100T power consumption

NAS, HTPC (Plex), router, server (nginx, Elasticsearch, php, mysql, etc), desktop (no gaming) and development (java, angular) occasionally. I use now a N3150 which is slow for development/browsing otherwise perfect.

Thanks but I’m specifically looking for a CPU + board (SoC) because they have more connectors (e.g. usb, audio, etc) than a NUC. Anyway the NUC hint is a good one :)

EMB-BT1 with it's N2807 is really a rocket comparing with my actual armv5te and I would buy one far less performing if would consume even less electricity. Anyway, please let's stick to the subject.

It uses a really small amount of power with a powerful processor + graphics and it has the configuration I need (2 SATA3 ports -> fine with me :) ).
