Elusive problems with MB/HD/PS???

The HD is auto detected in the bios. As for the other question....is it based on the MB whether the pins need to be connected or not? What I mean by this, is I tried with and without connecting the pins. I tried without, because I thought I could have them backwards or something. So, when...

Elusive problems with MB/HD/PS???

A little bit of history.... Flashed my bios Friday night about 8:00pm. Worked on the computer until around 2:00 Left it on all night, and around 11:00 Saturday morning, started a DVD conversion, the comp rebooted and errored out on boot up with a Read error on the HD. spent all Saturday...

Matrix Reloaded Special Wednesday Evening Showtimes just announced!

I was impressed that it wasn't geared towards the typical 13 year old boy, plot wise. It's intricate, as intricate as the first, but that's what it's about. The fight scenes are out of control. As much as KR sucks as an actor, I was impressed with his martial arts training. Good job.

The EPoX 4G4A+ seems very promising.

Just tried flashing to the latest BIOS 4/24 and it didn't help. I'm going to grab another drive and do a clean install of the OS and see how that works. Probably won't have any more updates until tomorrow. Thanks for your help so far. J

I increased the agp voltage and it seemed to work for about 1 minute. Then it locked up, and several seconds later gave me a new BSOD that says, "The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop." atidvag I've tried two different drivers for this card. I guess I'll keep trying drivers until I...

The EPoX 4G4A+ seems very promising.

I'm having the exact same problem with my AIW Radeon. It will boot in safe mode, but freezes otherwise. I've tried all the previous fixes with voltage, mem in the second slot, etc. Anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate it. Jason

4g4a+ not working with ATI AIW Radeon

I'm having the same problem with my AIW Radeon as well. Just reloaded XP tonight, and still no go. It freezes at the same place as yours. Do you have any updates since your initial post? Jason

AIW Radeon

I've got one of the original ATI AIW Radeon AGP cards, and when I put it in my new Epox 4G4a+ MB it doesn't work. So, as I started checking things out I noticed that the AGP port of the MB only supports 1.5V cards. So, my question is, does anyone know what the voltage of my card is? Thanks. J

AIW Radeon resolution?

Hmmm, but using the DVI-I to VGA connector, would the AIW be able to output "480p" to a HDTV with a VGA input? I wonder how graphics resolution translates to TV scan lines. Then again, maybe I should just save my money for another couple of years till all this gets resolved. :)

buy.com DOTD 50 GB SCSI HD $599: $300 less than lowest pricescan price

The only drawback to this drive is it's SCA interface. That's used in servers with an SCA backplane. You will/would have to buy an adaptor to either regular SCSI III or 80-pin SCSI if you want to use this particular hard drive. My .02 worth.
