The Longevity Factor.. i3 2100 vs. i5 2400 vs. i5 2500K....?!?

My core 2 Q9550 bought a few years ago for $250 is still worth $200 on Ebay now. I would get the 2500K, use it until it's obsolete (3-4 years), then sell it for $150-$200 on Ebay. The key is to get the popular chip models, ie, Q6600, Q9550, 2500K/2600K in a few years. Tom

Rumour: AMDs 8core "Bullsharks" coming close to Gulftown.

For those who said that AMD would price it around $700 if the performance is near that of Gulftown, think about this: Why would I buy a $700 AMD chip if I can get similar performance with a 2600K SB chip which probably would OC better? Unless I am missing something, I would think that AMD...

What is your CPU History

I am looking through all the replies here and I notice one chip that is missing in most people's lists: The Celeron 300 OC'd to 450. That was pretty much the first bargain overclocker that can hit 50% OC in the history of overclocking. Tom

HOT DEAL for DC4800 Owners-----Updated Info-------------

The Li-on battery on this camera is actually not that bad. I use mostly the monitor to take pictures and gets ~ 50 pics before it dies. If you only use the viewfinder and turn off the monitor, you can get up to 120 pics. It gets all that flap because IF you were able to stick 4 1600 Mah AA...
