It finally got below freezing here there other night. Hub reported that the Tripper in my mailbox had low battery but it was fine the next day as the temp rose. While I realize the Tripper wasn't designed for outdoor use, any ideas for low temps?

The MyQ that I have doesn't have to be near the garage but it is also wired Ethernet. I'd assume it has the RF range of a manual opener. It's currently in the basement on a switch. Opener is on opposite end of house at ground level. I also have a TP-link G repeater ($20) that I plug in to...

I bit the bullet and added an Echo yesterday. It easily integrated with Wink but my item names weren't easily recognized by voice control. . . (LRLeft for Living Room Left lamp) but I easily added groups in Echo for LEFT or RIGHT and I just say 'Left On' . . . it doesn't recognize the Wink...

StubHub is a great place to buy tickets for 2-3 times (or more) the price that they were originally offered for concerts / games / theatre in your area. I assume the Echo integration announces upcoming events in your area (and links to order tickets)

I've been experimenting with a couple of different wifi enabled micros before I got Wink to monitor / automate my sump pumps. I picked up a pack of small float switches from Amazon and am considering trying one on a Tripper . . . wire it in parallel with the internal reed switch.

You have to have the Pico control a Caseta switch and that Lamp is then available to trigger other things. While the Pico signal is acknowledged by the hub, this might be a limitation that Caseta can still operate without the hub.

Every OK Google I've tried just goes to a search page. Activate Wink LR On. . . even when it gets the spelling right. It usually tries 'Link . .' But this is on an LG V410 and the shortcuts placed on the home page only work once after a reboot. Anyone successful with SIRI on IOS?

Just got the EggMinder delivered an hour or so ago. Spent about 15 minutes getting it to initialize and sync with the hub. For $10 (free Prime delivery) it was worth my curiosity. Two AA batteries - already there. I wish I hadn't taken the battery cover off. Getting the gasket back on was...

I installed Chrome and the Wink app when it was mentioned a week or so ago. The last couple of times I've tried to start it, it just spins and nothing ever happens. Chrome does come up with the warning to disable the developer stuff. Any ideas?

The Caseta Pico and switch worked through the outage. However, I noticed a tripper that I re-synched Friday or Saturday morning isn't recognized. . . but I'll worry about that another day.

Mine was on .77 and apparently did its last control around 12:30 when the mail arrived. I returned around 12:45 from a bicycle ride and couldn't turn the light off. Hub was blue but a tripper wouldn't show the green flash on the hub, then the app showed offline. Of course, I rebooted...

I'd put it in a small box unless there's some other limitation. The magnet side could just stick by the edge of the box when closed. You could parallel the internal reed relay switch with typical magnetic switches if necessary. (Someone above asked about a pushbutton for doorbell . . ...

Same configuration, IOS 8.2 on iP6. I deleted the shortcuts on the notification page when they wouldn't work. Rebooted the phone and tried to put them back. Now only have a line 'Wink Shortcuts and a blank space.
