Single IDE 7200rpm hd VS RAID 0 two IDE 7200rpm hd's. Does it really make that much of a difference???

Help with MSI K7T PRO2-A

Make sure no thermal compound has escaped the core... not on L1 bridges or other contacts, etc. Also make sure the HSF has a good stable seating on the CPU. Usually not a prob with the clips, but the MB could be detecting quick temp increases or short-circuits and cutting it off...

SB Live and MSI Pro2-A problerm ("loop out lockup").

You might want to disable the SB16 emulation driver... causes a lot of problems in Win98, may not be the case in 2000, but who knows?

Which cooler with the MSI K7T Pro2-A?

Alpha PAL6035 with the Sunon fan from 2cooltek. Arctic silver provides the interface... Clip takes a bit of getting used to... don't be tempted to use anything but your fingers to push it into place..

Currently tweaking my MSI Pro 2A/Duron 800 system to full effect. I am using the BIOS to assign IRQ's to boards, saying non-PNP OS. However, I do have a PnP OS, theoretically - Win98... is there an advantage to using Win98 to assign the IRQ's?

BIOS Flashing software (MSI) won't flash BIOS, solution?

MSI K7T Pro 2-A working great... some questions...

I've heard of few problems with the Live! Every so often, my Vortex card gets "re-detected" by Windows, which, the first 2 times, meant I had to skip "installing", dig out my drivers, install, and reboot. Annoying. So feel blessed that it merely required a slot change.
