Looking into a 27" monitor.

There is a lot to consider for gaming especially with g-sync monitors and the coming freesync monitors. If 120hz gaming is no big deal to you by all means grab a nice IPS. The korean monitors mentioned are great value but uniformity, backlight bleed and other issues like lack of warranty support...

It'll honestly barely cut it but should run. The 7950 is one of the more energy efficient amd cards.

Phone recommendation: $200 range, good camera, probably android

If the G2 is anything like the G3 I'd recommend it. The Moto X 2013 works well too but for the price you can get an s4 which has a significantly better camera.

What is a good speaker set to buy??

Just want to know if my laptop's graphics card is a good graphics card.

The 745M is fine for light gaming. As for upgrading, unless the Asus is using mxm card architecture its pretty nonupgradable unless you go for a external GPU solution.

Upgrade from a Z68 i7 2700K SB Platform?

I'd have to agree with the sentiment so far. A SB at your clocks vs the performance of a z97 build isn't a massive upgrade. I myself find myself content on z77 myself.

Microcenter tends to always have the lowest prices for CPU so it's a no brainer. If you are going to microcenter I suggest you don't buy the cpu by itself though as they may have bundle deals with a mobo that may come out cheaper than buying them separately.

The good news is your data is most probably fine and intact on the hard drive. You'd have to diagnose what parts went bad. First part I'd check is probably the Power Supply. Does your PC turn on at all? Or are there any signs that the PSU is working? You can usually check by forcing the PSU...

Not sure if I quite understand your situation. Unless your monitor doesn't have any other inputs or has speakers, you really only need one HDMI for the TV. That said, if you do only have HDMI inputs you can get any card really with an HDMI and Displayport/minidisplayport. From my experience...

7870 XT vs nvidia 960?

I'd have to agree here. The 960 is really a marginal upgrade and may perform on par or worse with your 7870 at higher resolutions thanks to the limited 128bit memory bus width. At around the same price point and maybe less you can get a 280x which significantly outperforms the 960. The 290 line...

Warranty and static electricity

As long as there isn't signs of physical damage it should be RMA. I'd check the PCI pins to see if there is any damage present. Sapphire's RMA process can be a pain and somewhat archaic but it works.
