Ok so one end of the hdmi goes into my gpu but what about the other end? Im assuming it goes into the motherboard correct? If im using on board graphics then it was not disabled in the bios. should i disable it before using a dedicated card?

I almost bought that laptop from best buy in November but the display model had a horrible resolution. It may have just been (burn in) on the store model. It was really the only gaming laptop they had worth buying.
