Asus A8N SLI integrated network card hangs up on disconnection

Hi I'm having a weird problem: my connection randomly disconnect but it seems it is actually only the integrated network card that disconnects and can't get up online anymore. The connection tray actually freezes and nothing else helps but rebooting if I want to get back online again...

Main differencies between EPox EP-9NPA+ Ultra and A8N-SLI Premium?

What are the main differencies between these two motherboards and what is better on the other ? I'm struggling between these two motherboards right now, I dunno which to buy :/ (third option could be Asus' Deluxe mobo)

nForce 4 motherboards without SLI?

I'd love to buy A8N-SLI Premium but it is so damn expensive :/ that's why I'm looking for other options unless you can convince me about the Premium :)

nForce 4 motherboards without SLI?

Are there any motherboards out there that have nForce4 NB chips, have socket 939, NO SLI and have passive cooling the same kind as Asus a8n.sli premium (was it that?) Thanks!

alimoalem: a tower case won't look too good in a living room :roll: yeah unless you hide it well lol. That's what I meant, purely an issue of appearance :) also, I don't have too much money to spend now so I will go with the GF 6600GT. I can't even find those GS cards you mentioned in Finland...

Does it matter too much if there's a fan on the North Bridge chip? Of course it's a bit louder but will the fans work for long? Can't think of anything more irritating sound in a computer than a broken fan :disgust: Wouldn't like to buy the Premium only because it is fanless. And I read in...

Antec's P180 or Ahanix's MCE 601 case?

Thanks for all the replies. Shadowknight: the problems with Aria seem to be it gets quite hot even the system wasn't a high-end system, the PSU is not standard type and it only accepts mATX motherboards inside in it. I forgot to mention that I do need easily upgradeable system since the case...

Ok. I think I've tried everything there is to try. I took off all the memory, hard drives, AGP GFX card, network card... resetted the CMOS/BIOS... turned on. "No signal. Cable connected OK" (the mobo has integrated gfx card so I used that) the processor does get hot though but I guess this...

DogFaceMonk, thanks for your tips! I changed my PSU to my cousin's PSU and it didn't help at all. I also tried his GFX card with no luck. So should I really assume my mobo has fried dead? I removed all the non-essential components when this happened. The only things I left was my GFX card...

My friend tried the ADSL card on his computer and it worked fine and the card is only maybe one year old. The drivers are not digitally signed but the instructions say that it is normal and that you should just click OK to proceed which is kinda odd. This card worked fine with at least 5 year...

Ok here's an update: as I told in my previous reply, I changed the setting of MTU and RWIn (changed them to bigger value) and now when the connection drops, it will connect normally, but still the web pages won't load nor I can join any IRC channel. This takes longer now. Then it gets back to...

Thanks for replies. Downloaded DRTCP, tried it, changed MTU and RWIn sized like it said in the help file. Rebooted. Prayed. Waited. And still.. the same problem occurs :frown: this is getting weird
