Go with FX 8350 which is 180$ or in case you are willing to overclock then buy FX 8320 which is 150$ and if I remember correctly, it has same stock cooler so you can safely overclock it to FX 8350.

Most games nowadays use 4 cores, rarely 6 and I don't know any game using 8 cores. Since FX 8350 has 8 cores then 4 to 6 cores are used for game and 4 to 2 cores are used for streaming/video rendering...

It is a waste of time to just search for better materials, main issue is that there are really no new CPU micro architectures, we still have POWER, ARM, x86, etc... x86 is restrained by maintaining legacy code and POWER and ARM are restrained to maintain similarity with previous generations...
