    Which OS would suit my needs??

    If you dont have spare parts, starting a new build. Why not go with a NAS box? I have the Netgear 104 and it has a Plex app that will stream to my computer no problem. The only time it would be an issue is if I needed it to transcode on the fly, in which case get a more powerful NAS.

    Well it seems like I was maybe a bit premature on that solution, made it a little over an hour into a movie and it started buffering again. Any other suggestions? Would/could the router be the problem?

    I really wish Apple would release a new Apple TV with MKV and lossless audio support....But since I highly doubt that will happen, Im waiting to see what 4k streamers come out with the above capabilities and a user friendly/quick user interface that can support Netflix. I know, asking too much.

    How would you build them in? I used MakeMKV to rip my library, and select the subtitles I want, but I believe this is a known issue that they dont work. I have also tried MKVtoolnix, but when I hit the subtitle track it will show Track 1 on the top left, but no subtitles will show up. Thanks...
