I researched this. The weight is distributed by the backplate. Also, this cpu can output 250 watts overclocked. I hope that this cpu/cooler combo is excellent
There are benchmarks of the prototype showing 400watt+ dissipation capacity. The temperature benchmarks are among the lowest. You guys do research? I provided a few links...
Thanks all for your feedback. The cooler and the opinions on the feasibility of the overclocks definitely help ;) i'm seeing 853 watt at 100 cpu usage and 4.5 oc pbo.
Go here for the cooler info.
It's really revolutionary design.
From FAQ on icegiantcooling.com
If the ProSiphon Elite depends on gravity to return the liquid, how well will it work when it is oriented in a case (motherboard is vertical) versus sitting on an open bench setup (motherboard is horizontal)?
The ProSiphon Elite will perform similiarly in both...
π Hi there,
FAQ for icegiant cooler says height of the cooler is 164mm or 16.4 cm or 6.46 inch. I can comfortably fit it with an inch clearance still remaining :)

Hi All,
Really want to try building Watercooled AMD Ryzen Micro ITX rig :)
It'll be used for gaming and software programming (compiles, vm, etc)
The intent here is to slap a good enough amd chip for around $120-150 using x570 mobo until 4000 series come out and shoot for the best bang for the...
I tried doing that. I ran 2 separate cables from PSU to video card. The machine rebooted within a minute of starting game. I put it back to single cable.
The Seasonic is Gold rated PSU (don't remember type). In the bios the 12v line read 12.16volts. Do I upgrade supply to 850W?
Hi All,
I have a 750W Seasonic PSU from 2014 and 4790k OC'd to 4.8. I installed VEGA 64 last month, and everything seemed smooth. I game 4k older titles, but 2-3 hours into a game PC reboots, with a message saying voltage is unstable.
What are my next steps? I thought that 750W PSU is more than...
How did I do on this deal? Plan to undervolt and tweak clocks to get power consumption down by 1/3. Maybe considering buying watercooling kit.
Have LG 4k Freesync monitor (40-60hz) Is 4k gaming possible with tweaks?
I think you all got carried away here. 1080 ti is $700 MSRP, and ~950 right now. Titan V is $3000, or more than 4x MSRP, 3x right now. The original question is if money is no object is it worth buying 1080 ti or wait for next gen GPU in a few months. Stick with the subject. Nowhere did I mention...
Thanks All!
I can wait 3 months for this. Already have HDMI 2.0 cable for hooking up my 78 inch TV. Hope my 4790k @ 4.8ghz is enough to drive 4k resolution on it.
Cheers!
P.S. The TV cost 6500 in 2014. Yes money is no object so long as the item is reliable and ahead of it's time.
I read somewhere that low latencies are preferred over Ghz. So gddr5 is better than gddr5x for mining. Which is nice because it relieves supply for 1080 tiers.
Hey Guys -
Black friday is almost here and I have a good feeling about snagging 4k display for around 300 bucks. Question is this - I'm using it for coding and some gaming.
Would you shoot for 32 inch or 40 inch, and VA or IPS?
Thanks for the feedback folks.
I'll keep 4.8 ghz chip and look at buying 2x polaris cards for 4k gaming.
That un78hu9000 tv needs to be tested out.

Hi Everyone,
I just want to make sure I don't have a buyer's remorse. I have 4.8ghz 4790k which I consider avg overclock. I want to know how it compares with newer avg overclocked skylakes?
Also,
How far are we from having $300-400 video cards that can do 4k gaming with 60fps? Will they...
I agree. I can see displays and possibly future VR having their own forums but this AMD, NVIDIA, General discussion just drives people away. Now I have to go through 3 forums just to catch up on what's going on. This is not a good way to go.
Leaves buyers like me in a pickle. I want a stop gap card for ~$350 with hdmi 2.0 to game until big pascal / 400 comes out. Sucks this is straight 290x rebrand.
What I don't understand is why isn't tonga in each of those rebrands? Clearly tonga is superior, it works, and they have months of expertise to put in their 300 series.
They could've stuck tonga in 390x and that would've been epic win.
I tend to agree - I think 300 series will be a failure - from the looks of it they have done nothing on hdmi, or architecture tweaks. They had almost 2 year and sat there twiddling thumbs. Sure Fiji might be good card and all that but how well will a $700 card sell vs a $200-300? I'm not saying...
There we go. Good catch!
HDMI 1.4a means I'm not buying this card. The least amd could've done was upgrade hdmi to 2.0. It is 2015 not 2013. They had almost 2 years to bump the specs.
DISPLAY OUTPUT
Display Port ready : 1.2
Dual link Support : Y
HDMI Ready : 1.4a

Earlier I was asking if 390x had hdmi 2.0, and I got an answer yes it has that.
So which one is it? Does it have 4k@60hz compatible hdmi 2.0 port or not?
