I'm currently running an Asus router with tomato firmware that has a built in Adblock. The blacklist gets updated daily and does a great job at blocking YouTube ads especially on IOS devices.
Purchased 5 HP 27" 1080P IPS monitors for $89 each from Costco early black friday sales last week. Probably old stock from somewhere but in my case who cares.
The Kirlkland Aller-Flex (Fexofenadine) works well for me. Claritin makes me drowsy and and not as effective. Zyrtec worked at one point but all of sudden it stopped, perhaps I took it for too long. Now I only take Fexofenadine when absolutely necessary and I have not need to take it for the...
I have the citi mastercard and there wasn't any pop up saying "we've have found this account" when I attempted the Costco visa online setup. As a mater of fact I had to setup a new online account. Also the reward carryover are from Amex seems less than I remembered it to be.
Extra propane tank highly recommended and refill the empty when you switch them. Just last week my propane tank went empty while I was cooking steak and the extra tank hasn't been refill. Dinner ruin!
True story, I know a family that had a decent looking young nanny and the husband was banging her then hired an older nanny and her father was banging the old nanny.
Reading this thread makes me want to dig out my aeropress and burr grinder. I am just too lazy these days by using Keurig to make my morning cup of joe. After awhile you forget what good coffee tastes like. Personally, I prefer paper filter over the reusable SS filter with my aeropress . I...
I bought 3 old Ooma phones, the one without any monthly fees or tax and gave them to my family Memebers. They been running great for more than 6 years. Just be sure to install the Ooma before your router.
I am in the similar situation. I have an old PC with only 4gb of memory and like to play around with NAS. I am going to try the X86 version of Freenas and see how it runs. Have you setup Plex? I am curious how Plex would run with your setup.
My company bundles hardwares and in house software for bank proof processing. I'm in charge of repairing, installation and support. I have tried software development early in my career but learning programming language just wasnt my thing. I took 2 progaming classes and really struggle with them...
My company is closing its doors at the end of June. I have known about the closure for a few months now and have sent out resumes with little success. I have been with the company for 12 years. My 12 years experience with my current position leaves me with no real marketable skill since what we...
Just ate 2 chicken breasts made by sous vide for lunch and they were very juicy, tender and moist. I am very impressed. I'll try rack of lamb for family dinner tonight.
Update: well the rack of lamb didn't turn out quit right. 3 1/2 hour at 134f didn't cook the 2 lbs meat enough. Still a...
I just got a $99 Anova sous vide immersion and mod a $15 12 quarts igloo cooler for bathing. I have few questions.
1. Do you wait til water temp gets to the set temp before putting meat in or do you just put meat in cold/warm water then set and go?
2. Do you use fresh water every time knowing...
Yeah, CA is crazy overheated thanks to all the Chinese coming over here to live. My neighbor's house just sold for $800 fucking K. The property tax alone is almost $10k a year which means a house hold needs to make at least $150k to afford it.
